How to make a bar at home with your own hands - guide home master

Fans of a healthy lifestyle do not always have enough money and free time to visit the fitness center. To the aid come horizontal bars and other shells in the yard or on the nearest open area. But such facilities are far from everywhere, besides in the autumn-winter season, the weather has little to do with outdoor training.

Sooner or later, almost everyone thinks about how to make a bar at home and practice year round at a convenient time and completely free. After all, a horizontal bar is a universal simulator that allows you to train different muscle groups, in addition, a compact, inexpensive and suitable for both adults and children.

Having become acquainted with the assortment of sports corners and Swedish walls in the sports goods store, we begin to understand that all these wonderful complexes and simulators will occupy not less than half of the room. They are designed, as a rule, for preschool and school children, for the weight and height of an adult male are of little use, and not every family has a separate spacious children's room.

A better option is the Swedish wall, which is attached to any free wall, there is usually a set of additional removable suspensions and simulators for different muscle groups, including a removable horizontal bar, which is installed at any height for athletes of different heights. This is the most successful solution for the whole family.

If you are determined to save on buying expensive sports equipment, or you have very little space at home, then you should think about how to make a bar in the apartment with your own hands.

Before you make a bar at home, you need to choose the right place. The tourniquet, unlike the Swedish wall, takes up a little space, but space should be provided for a free approach and a variety of exercises to avoid injuries and limited movements. Most often, a suitable place is in the hallway, a narrow corridor between the walls or in the doorway.

When deciding how to make the bar at home as convenient, compact and safe as possible, determine its design. Usually, a wall-mounted wall for a house is of two types: stationary, rigidly fixed to the wall in the form of a console, and just a bar that is "inserted" in the doorway or between the walls of a narrow corridor. Such a horizontal bar can be made removable so that it does not interfere.

To make such a horizontal bar, you need a crossbar the length equal to the width of the opening at the height where you plan to fix the bar. You can take a wooden bar round the round (for example, a shank from a shovel), but it is more reliable - a metal pipe. The diameter of the crossbar should be suitable for convenient grip (approximately 3 cm). In addition, it will take nests where the crossbar will be inserted. They can also be metal or wooden.

Wooden nests are made of square bars or pieces of plywood with a thickness of 3-5 centimeters and a size of 10 by 10 cm (or the width of the door frame). In the upper part, the semifircular holes are cut with a jig saw by the diameter of the crossbeam, then the nests are fixed in the doorway with the help of self-tapping screws. The crossbeam is placed from above, if necessary, it is easily removed and retracted.

If you have chosen a metal structure, then you should stock up on 10x10 cm plates, to which the metal strips curved along the diameter of the crossbar (actually, the nests) are welded. Welding should only be carried out on the outside so that the tube is firmly seated in the socket. The holes for bolts with a diameter of 10 mm are drilled at the corners of the holder plates. Plates are attached to the wall using anchor bolts.

In order for the bar not to roll in the nests, you can drill the side holes in the crossbar and in the sockets and insert the pins or cut the thread and fix it to the bolts.

How to make a horizontal bar at home, if you want to perform a variety of exercises, and not just pull yourself up? After all, the dimensions of the horizontal bar are limited by the doorway. In this case a fixed horizontal bar on the wall will come to the rescue. Its dimensions are not tied to the width of the opening, in addition, the crossbar itself can be made with a width extension, which will provide additional convenience.

The construction of such a horizontal bar consists of the base and the crossbar itself. The base frame is welded from the profile (usually 50x30 mm), on the side it looks like two triangles 35-40 cm high and 40-50 cm wide (removed from the wall). Bolts are drilled in the frame (on the outside of a slightly larger diameter than on the outside Internal, to "drown" the bolt heads inside), then with solid screws or bolts the structure is fixed to the wall. To it is added a crossbeam (on bolts or on welding). The turnstile is ready.
