Where to take the waste paper: points of reception and basic rules

In the Soviet Union, everyone knew where to get the waste paper. The point of reception of bottles and paper is one of the bright symbols of the Soviet past, and such points were met everywhere.

Recycling: before it was easier?

Probably, many of us liked the wonderful school tradition - to hand over waste paper. Do you remember how we asked mothers and grandmothers to find at home as many unnecessary newspapers, old magazines, notebooks and albums as possible? And when, in the course of a desperate struggle, the class amicably won in the contest by the amount of the surrender it was a real victory. But an adult modern person often does not even suspect where to get the scrap paper.

What now?

We receive free newspapers by mail, buy magazines in kiosks, write a lot of diaries, and then just throw it all into a container along with other "garbage", and then, together with food waste, it is burned, breaking the ozone layer of the Earth. Partly this is because many do not know where to take the trash in their city. But recycling paper is the most important step towards preserving the environment: in order to produce, for example, cardboard or toilet paper, it is not necessary to destroy trees. In Russia, as in the rest of the world, there are industries that can use recyclables for this. And in the West, even wooden products are made from it.

Not any paper will do ...

Before you find out where to take the waste paper in Moscow and St. Petersburg, it is worthwhile to understand what types of recyclable materials are not suitable for this. You will accept any paper waste: books, magazines, newspapers, notebooks and cardboard. But napkins, disposable tableware made from cardboard, toilet paper, laminated material, copies with watermarks belong to the category of "not condition".

There are other nuances. Along with where to take the waste paper, you need to know that if you decide to get rid of damp paper, you must dry it before surrendering it. It is also worth noting that different types of paper products are evaluated in different ways. It is beneficial to pre-sort it by type so that it is not accepted by the reception point at the lowest cost.

Large companies that throw out a large amount of paper debris may not think about where to get scrap paper: fortunately, for them there are firms that specialize in the export of secondary raw materials in large quantities. But what should ordinary citizens do? Where to get the waste paper?

St. Petersburg - a paradise for putting recyclables!

Several years ago the project "Ecohouse" started in the Northern capital. In Peter there were special houses - new modern items of recycling with specially trained personnel. People who are not indifferent to the future of our planet, now do not have to puzzle over and think about where to get the waste paper in St. Petersburg. Now in the Petrogradsky district of St. Petersburg there are five such "houses" at the following addresses:

  • Gas Street, 1a.
  • Markina street, 10.
  • Monchegorskaya street, 7.
  • Chkalovsky prospect, 16.
  • Plutalov street, 4.

Of course, the points where recyclable materials are used exist not only in Petrograd. Already for a long time to hand over a paper for processing it is possible practically in all corners of a city. Here is a list of just a few places for this:

  • M. "Pl. Lenin ", Finlyandsky railway station, cash desk, second floor.

You can also find such items in the main capital. Not surprisingly, among the cities of Russia, Moscow is in the first place in terms of the amount of waste paper being thrown away. Therefore, there are enough places for delivery of paper with the purpose of further processing. So, where to get the waste paper in Moscow?

I want to believe that the number of collection points for recycling in our country will increase, and it will be convenient to hand over waste paper not only to the inhabitants of large cities.
