What is complex fertilizer?

By the method of production, all modern complex fertilizers are divided into mixed, complex and complex-mixed. To the second it is customary to include such as ammophos, potassium nitrate, diammophos. These drugs are obtained as a result of the chemical interaction of the components. The composition of liquid and solid complex fertilizers introduce trace elements, herbicides and some pesticides.

Combined (complex) mixed complex fertilizers, which are obtained as a result of a single technological process. Such chemicals in one pellet contain two or three basic nutrients important for the development of plants, in the form of compounds. Combined include: nitrophos and nitrophos, nitroammophoska and nitroammophos, potassium and ammonium polyphosphates, carboammophoses, liquid complex mixtures.

Mixed are the compositions of simple fertilizers, which are obtained in the process of dry mixing.

Complex-mixed and complex mixtures are characterized by an increased content of nutrients, while they are very economical in use.

Despite all its advantages, complex fertilizers have one significant drawback - the proportions in the NPK content in them vary within rather narrow limits.

In complex preparations, the percentage composition of the constituent elements is usually strictly observed, however, if some changes are required, then, making simple calculations, these changes can be made independently. For example, if complex fertilizers for vegetables contain nitrogen in insufficient quantities, a simple chemical with a high nitrogen content can be added to them, but only the professional agrotechnics can reduce the content of a component.

At the moment of digging up the soil in the spring or autumn period, for the effective enrichment of the soil with mineral substances, it is possible to use preparations with an elevated content of a substance such as calcium carbonate, which extinguishes the acid perfectly. This is especially important for those areas where tomatoes are located.

Complex fertilizer for tomatoes in a seedling growing method is made when planting seedlings in the soil. 500 grams of humus mixed with one tablespoon of ash and one teaspoon of superphosphate are added to the well for the plant. Top dressing of tomato seedlings can be carried out already ten days after planting and rooting.

The first time tomatoes are fed with mullein, and complex fertilizers can be introduced already during the second similar procedure.

Double and conventional superphosphate are the most popular and common drugs used in planting a tomato. These chemicals include: phosphorus, calcium, sulfur, magnesium and nitrogen. Each of these elements has its own useful action. So, calcium effectively lowers the acidity of the soil, and magnesium is simply necessary for solanaceous plants for normal and active development. Complex fertilizers are usually produced in the form of powder or granules.
