Biography of Oleg Betin

The future head of the region was born in late August 1950 in Tambov. Successfully graduated from the secondary school and Tambov Institute of Chemical Engineering in 1972. Right after receiving the diploma, he was sent to work as an ordinary engineer.

Simultaneously with the new post, inquisitive Betin Oleg Ivanovich decided to continue his studies and went straight to the post-graduate course of the Moscow Scientific-Research Physico-Chemical Institute. L. Ya. Karpov.

Ghosts of the party past

Beginning in mid-1981, Betin was nominated for party work, where he was expected by the very honorable post of Assistant First Secretary of the Tambov Regional Committee of the CPSU. A few years later, from helpers, Oleg goes to the first secretaries of the Kotovsky District Committee of the CPSU and again engages in self-education, but already in the party and political sphere.

Two years later he became first deputy and then first deputy head of the administration for management and economics of the Tambov region. And in 1995, by the presidential decree, Betina was appointed head of the region.

The machinations of the father and son with state contracts

But the apotheosis of financial fraud was December 2014. At this time, the administration of the Mordovian district of the Tambov region signed a special contract, due to which Zvezda-2 LLC was obliged to complete the reconstruction of the general education school. The approximate amount under the contract, which the city administration paid the firm, was 576 million rubles. No repeated violations of the law, including the hitting of a pedestrian with a fatal outcome by the alleged security company belonging to Deputy Popov, nor the complaints of local residents to the highest state authorities of the region have not had the desired effect.
