The group of antihypertensive drugs includes "Kapozid", the instruction for its use recommends using it for arterial hypertension. The main active substances here are captopril and hydrochlorothiazide, which have a diuretic and hypotensive effect. Among the auxiliaries in the medicinal product are cellulose, magnesium stearate, corn starch. The medicine is produced in the form of tablets having a yellowish tinge.

The duration of the drug intake is unlimited, however, with long-term use, it is possible to develop hypokalemia (potassium deficiency in the body), hyponatremia (a decrease in the blood level of sodium), the appearance of muscle weakness and seizures. Also, the patient may experience orthostatic hypotension, that is, the pressure drop when the position changes (for example, from horizontal to vertical).

When using the drug "Capozide", the instruction assumes possible occurrence of side effects. Among them there may be allergic reactions (itching, swelling of the limbs, face, mucous membranes, urticaria). From the cardiovascular system may occur dizziness, tachycardia, mild headache, in rare cases, fainting. Patients may develop a dry cough, less often sinusitis or rhinitis. If any of the unpleasant symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor who may prescribe a more productive treatment.

With the simultaneous use of the drug with cardiac glycosides, it is possible to increase the side effects of the latter. It also reduces the effect of hypoglycemic drugs and antidotal drugs.
