Greek salad for lovers of fresh vegetables

This dish is served in the best restaurants around the world. Greek salad does not need a special decoration, it looks great and so, because it uses products of bright colors. Thanks to this contrast, it turns out so spectacular.

Some restaurant salads require a lot of skill, but for the Greek we'll just need to cut into cubes and mix the following ingredients in a bowl:

  • 3 small tomatoes;
  • Half-head of red onion;
  • A medium-sized cucumber;
  • Half a bell of red and yellow pepper;
  • 140 grams of feta cheese (or any other home brine, if feta is not).

Gently mix the pieces and add pieces of 15 black olives without pits. Fill with extra virgin olive oil. To taste, salt with sea salt, add a pinch of oregano and dried garlic. Sprinkle with lemon juice before serving.

Carpaccio like in a restaurant

For Russian cuisine, meat without heat treatment is atypical. But in many of the best national cuisines around the world, this ingredient is used quite widely. As an example, you can bring refined French tartar or carpaccio salad, which can be easily prepared at home.

Wrap the fresh beef tenderloin in the olive oil-soaked food film and send it to the freezer for half an hour. We need about 400 grams of meat.

Cut as thin as possible. Ideally, you need to use a slicer.

Bleed, wrapped in food film, hammer with a smooth surface, not ribbed. You can use a conventional rolling-pin.

Lay the meat in a circle on a serving dish, and in the middle, fold a handful of fresh arugula (one and a half bunch). Pour olive oil mixed with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice. Decorate with grated Parmesan (75 g). Before serving, sprinkle with pepper and grilled sea salt.

Recognizable classics - unsurpassed "Caesar"

A lot of variations of this dish are the most common salad at the restaurant level today. A real gourmet can easily create an objective idea of the restaurant, having tasted the Caesar salad. Unfortunately, many people tried to change the original recipe in their own way. Sometimes it brought good results (for example, anchovies appeared in a classic recipe thanks to the author's brother), but some components are not at all in a delicious dish. For example, mayonnaise is not at all suitable for this dish.

You can choose absolutely arbitrary proportions, focusing on your gastronomic and aesthetic tastes. But the salad should contain the following:

  • Croutons from white bread;
  • Canned anchovies;
  • Boiled eggs;
  • Boiled or baked chicken breast;
  • Parmesan;
  • Salad (iceberg, arugula, lettuce).

These components should be approximately equal. If desired, you can add to the "Caesar" cherry tomatoes, capers, olives, soft cheese, shrimp. And they fill the restaurant salads on the basis of "Caesar" with olive oil mixed with Dijon mustard, lemon juice and wooster sauce.

Caprese with the aroma of the Italian coast

There are restaurant salads, the recipes of which are beyond the skill of even the experienced hostess. But kaprese can cook even a fifth grader.

This dish consists of mozzarella and tomato sliced into rings, taken in equal parts. Components are laid out on a serving dish and even look beautiful and appetizing on their own. But if you tarnish them with a pinch of Italian herbs and sprinkle with a small amount of fragrant olive oil, it will turn out even more beautiful and tastier.

Little tricks of home-made salads

Restaurant salads differ little from domestic ones. Avoid heavy heavy sauces, try to use more different useful and tasty greens. Do not forget about spices: oregano, dried basil, thyme, thyme. Chicken eggs can be replaced with quail, they look aesthetically and unusually. But the main guarantee of success is your inspiration.
