The putty mixture is a powder, with the help of which small errors are eliminated on the plaster ceilings of concrete. With its help you can beautifully seal the joints between drywall sheets, repair cracks and level the ceiling, which is prepared for wallpapering or painting. The technical characteristics of the putty make it possible to use this building material for work, both internal and facade.

The putty for the ceiling is designed to work on solid, strong and necessarily clean areas. As an example, you can call: plasterboard, concrete and brick, stone (artificial and natural), plaster, etc. Ceiling putty is not possible in rooms in which high humidity, it will not hold on metal, plastic or glass.

Before you start directly to work, you need to select the necessary materials and tools. And both are extremely important, it is from them will depend on the quality of the work performed.

Prepare a mixer (construction), which can be replaced with a special nozzle, which is put on a perforator or drill. To work, you need two spatulas, one of which must be wide and the other narrow. Poluter (metal, 50 cm) and a brush (wide) or a special roller for applying a shpaklyuyuschego composition.

The puttying of the ceiling begins with its cleaning. The old whitewashed and yellowed with time whitewash, dust, stains of dirt, smudges. If there are protruding fragments (more than two millimeters), cut them with a perforator (wide blade).

We prepare the puttying solution by mixing the previously purchased dry mixture and water (the ratio to look on the package), and carefully mix up to the density of sour cream with a special nozzle or building mixer.

Lubricate the cracks, cracks and small holes in the ceiling using a spatula (small).

Now you can start applying the first layer of puttying solution. Using a semitera, the mixture is applied to the surface by a layer of one centimeter and distributed evenly, but accurately, over the area. Apply the solution in small portions so that the excess does not fall to the floor. This will add to your unnecessary work - cleaning the mixture adhering to the floor.

Starting ceilings of the ceiling are aged from four to eight hours. It depends on the humidity in the room and its temperature. And only then we put a second layer of putty (finish). The most convenient tool for this type of work is a spatula, the length of which is about thirty-five centimeters, which makes it possible to achieve the most smooth and smooth surface of the ceiling. Time will take a little more than when working with a half-meter, but the result will be more qualitative. Here I want to note that, depending on how smooth the last layer of putty is, so less time will be spent on grinding the ceiling.

Finally I want to give some advice on the choice of putty. Some people like ready-made compounds that can be purchased in building stores in special buckets, and their capacity is diverse. And you can use dry putty mixes, which are prepared immediately before starting work. Each of these species has its own positive and negative sides.

Putty in buckets is completely ready for application, you do not need extra time to mix it.

Putty for the ceiling in the form of a dry mixture is much cheaper, but in order to make it, you will need tools, containers, etc.

The finished form has a shorter shelf life than its dry analog.

Putty, prepared from powder, is short-lived, it will last for several days. But the finished analogue is up to several months.
