Shrub is willow: the crumb can also be a tree

As soon as they call the willow among the people! Verba, rakita, vine, salmon ... All these names refer to the same plant from the family Ivovye. About a beautiful tree, songs are added, legends go about it. Ivushki usually prefer wet places, but there are also those that grow on dry places or in the woods among other trees. In general, all willows are divided into two main types: tree-like and shrubby. The latter is more often called a tamnik. This name is most often found in crosswords and scanwords ("shrub willow - 7 letters"). But the taika is only one of the varieties of the beautiful shrub of the family Ivovye.

Shrub Weaver

Despite the general name, plants are very diverse. From the willow branches weaving baskets, making furniture, making funny wicker handicrafts. Some species of tree-like trees grow so quickly that a planted seedling can only grow to three meters in summer. The shrub willow is extremely tenacious. She will be the first to move to the conflagration, easily grows along the roadsides, near the railroad tracks and dried up rivers. Shrubber willow can "live" in the mountains, the Arctic, in the Far North - wherever there is even a small piece of land. Some shrubs are quite high. This willow is a rod-shaped (it is also white, a body, or a vine), a yellow willow (a nutshell), a blueberry willow. They grow throughout Eurasia, but they never grow very high, although they grow up to one meter. However, these types of plants are not the most interesting.

Crumb-bush

In the rocky mountains of America, in our Siberia, in the Arctic and other cold regions, perhaps the most unique shrub willow grows. They call it dwarfish, but even this word is an exaggeration. The growth of an adult Ivushka sometimes does not exceed 2.5 centimeters. It is interesting that their leaves can be of the same size. The smallest shrub willow is also tiny. It grows in the arctic tundra and easily roots on rubble, stones, neighbors with lichens. This species is very fond of deer. In summer they eat with pleasure leaves, and in winter they dig out frozen branches from under the snow.

Decorative willow

  • Goat willow. It is derived specifically for landscape design. In the early spring on the willow appear long, silvery, spring-scented inflorescences-earrings. After a warm winter, they appear at the end of March.
  • Willow in the spring pleases the surrounding people with delicate pearly gray leaves. Only in the middle of summer foliage is painted in the usual green color.
  • There are shrubbery willows, which retain the smoky color of the leaves until the fall. This willow is a creeping silvery and willowy willow.
  • Alpine willow blossoms even before it leaves leaves. This bush perfectly feels on stony slopes, so it can often be found between blocks of large alpine hills.
  • Sakhalin willow in Germany was called a dragon tree because of the bizarre, winding, snake-like shoots.

In park design, not only shrubs are used, but among the willows there are not only babies. So, the white willow grows to 25 meters, and it can often be found in classical parks. Huge branches can completely replace the arbor.
