He was called the Institute of Economics and Social Management (VIESU). Its exact year of foundation is 1995. This educational organization exists at the present time. The Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management was opened approximately 20 years ago by the decision of the city administration and the region. For the creation of the university the Association "Chernozemye" also acted. They founded an educational organization with the sole purpose of preparing managerial personnel.

For more than 20 years, the educational institution has developed. Today it is a modern university, which produces qualified specialists who are well prepared for practical work. To achieve good results in its activities Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management was able thanks to the availability of a decent material technical base. It includes a library, which stores more than 50 thousand books. The material technical base also includes equipped audiences. They have modern furniture, the necessary electronic equipment.

Teaching Staff

An important contribution to the development of the Institute was made by the teaching staff. There have always been real professionals in their field. They shared their knowledge and practical skills with students, engaged in scientific activities and sought to attract students to it.

At the moment, the teaching staff of the higher educational institution is 80% composed of candidates and doctors of science, professors and associate professors. For conducting classes additional leading experts of the city and the region are invited. They tell students current problems that are now in municipal and state administration, economics, politics, psychology.

Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management: faculties

There are only 2 faculties in the educational organization:

1. Municipal and state administration. In this structural subdivision, specialists are trained for various structures. Students after graduation can work in the organs of municipal and state administration, occupy the positions of specialists in political science.
2. Management and Economics. This structural unit of the higher educational institution produces managers. Students here study a variety of different economic and managerial disciplines. The knowledge gained allows for the effective management of organizations in the future, and determines the path of further development.

Department of secondary vocational education (ACT)

Many universities, having implemented ideas for the development of continuing education, began to train not only specialists with higher education, but also mid-level cadres. The Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management was not an exception. The opinions of students about the institution are diverse. Some are all happy with it. However, there are few reviews of such a plan. The main part of the students negatively speaks about the university due to the low quality of education and because the Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management (VIESU) is not interested in training qualified personnel.

Comments of a negative nature were confirmed in the course of the audit carried out by Rosobrnadzor in 2016. As a result, the accreditation was suspended in 3 groups of directions ("Psychological Sciences", "Management and Economics", "Regional Studies and Politics").

In the spring of 2017, Rosobrnadzor removed the institution from control. Voronezh Institute of Economics and Social Management eliminated all violations and continued to operate in the previous regime. Perhaps, such an event in the history of the university will serve as an impetus to making the educational process more qualitative and effective.
