"Veroshpiron" is produced in Hungary by the firm "Gedeon Richter". The active substance in it is spironolactone - it prevents the retention of excess liquid and sodium ions in the body while keeping the potassium necessary for the cardiovascular system. Due to this, veroshryron effectively fights with edema of various nature and, as a result, simultaneously lowers blood pressure without causing hypokalemia.

The use of this drug may be recommended for edema caused by heart failure or concomitant with nephrotic syndrome; As well as with the so-called essential hypertension - persistent and prolonged increase in blood pressure. As the instruction attached to the drug Veroshpiron says, the indication for its use is also primary hyperaldosteronism, a condition in which the adrenal cortex produces an excessive amount of the aldosterone hormone, often caused by the adrenal adenoma.
