"Erius": analogues of tablets and syrup. Customer Reviews

Violations of the immune system of the human body can lead to various failures. A huge number of people fully experience such violations in the form of allergic reactions to different, sometimes even unexpected substances. This can be food, detergents, animal hair, perfumes and cosmetics.

What is an allergy?

What is an allergy, and with what means can you ease the condition of the patient with this disease? First of all, it should be noted that such reactions of the body can proceed in mild or severe form, especially the so-called anaphylactic shock. In such a case, only a qualified specialist can help the patient.

Statistics say that one out of every five people is allergic to a particular substance and every year the incidence increases. Describing this ailment with usual words, doctors say that this is a peculiar function of protecting the body against the potential danger of the external environment. And that's why it happens that the immune system does not quite recognize ordinary substances, taking them for antigens, is still unclear to science, so there has not yet been found a radical method to combat such malfunctions in the body. Immunity, being a complex system, has memory, as a result of which each contact with the allergen ends equally. Antibodies, which are prepared by the immune system in response to the invasion of the already familiar and dangerous, in her opinion, substances, each time will be thrown into the blood, which will affect the state of the whole organism. Someone has a rash, someone has nasopharyngeal stuffiness, and someone like that can endure very hard.

Generations of antihistamines

Like many other medicines, antihistamines are divided into generations.

  • The first generation is characterized by a strong but short-term action (up to 8 hours) with pronounced lethargy and even drowsiness, with a mass of side effects. These include: "Diphenhydramine", "Suprastin", "Diazolin" and "Tavegil".
  • The second generation has virtually no effect on the nervous system, but after their use, special attention should be paid to observations of the heart. These are such drugs as Claritin and Fenistil.
  • The third generation of antihistamines has virtually no side effects and does not affect either the heart or the nervous system. The first of these drugs experts allocate "Erius", analogues of this means "Zirtek" and "Telfast".

"Erius" in the treatment of allergies

In cases with a mild form of allergic manifestations, such a drug as "Erius" will help. Analogues of such antihistamine means will also cope well with the task. The main component of the drug "Erius" is desloratadine. Within three hours after taking the drug reaches the maximum concentration in the body, which allows you to quickly relieve the patient's condition. The medicine has two forms of release: tablets (starting from the age of twelve) and syrup (from six months old). The effect of the drug is directed to the removal of inflammation and the decline of the allergic reaction by blocking the edema of the tissues, spasm of the musculature and reducing the permeability of the capillaries, which leads to the elimination of itching and rashes.

When applicable

The drug "Erius", analogues of which can be found on the shelves of almost every pharmacy, is prescribed for allergic rhinitis with stuffy nose, sneezing, swelling of the palate, coughing, tearing and itching in the nose and eyes, as well as with urticaria. Among the merits of the drug, along with a quick action, experts note the fact that taking the medicine is not dependent on food intake and does not cause drowsiness and lethargy, like most antihistamines. Particular attention in the instruction is given to the point that fatty foods and grapefruit juice are in no way capable of affecting the distribution of the active component of the preparation "Erius".

Instructions for use

Analogs of this preparation may be identical in composition or synonyms having another active substance with a similar action. In this or that case, you should carefully read the instructions, since not always the same medicine is taken according to the same scheme.

As for "Erius", it is taken once a day. As already mentioned, for children there is a syrup that gives the child 6-11 months of 2.0 ml per day. For children from 1 to 5 years, the dose is 2.5 ml. At the age of 6 to 11 years, the drug is taken at 5.0 ml per day. For adolescents, starting from age 12, and adults, the drug is prescribed 1 tablet a day. The period of admission can continue throughout the patient's contact with the allergen, which is important enough for people reacting to the flowering of any plants.

The identical analogue of "Erius"

"Lordestin" - a drug that can replace the Belgian means "Erius", if for some reason it is necessary to choose a good analog. Manufacturers of this medication say that it begins to act 30 minutes after ingestion and guarantees protection against allergic reactions in the form of skin eruptions or nasal congestion within 24 hours. This analogue of the "Erius" tablets also consists of desloratadine, which makes it identical. With the same composition preparations "Eden", "Claritin", so when replacing the product because of the intolerance of the active ingredient, you need to consider medicines with a different composition. In fact, "Lordestin" is an identical and cheaper analogue of "Erius".

Synonyms of the drug

If desloratadine has a special sensitivity, then you should choose a replacement for this medication among its synonyms. So, for example, "Zodak" can be used as a good analog of the syrup "Erius". This drug consists of cetirizine dihydrochloride and excipients. The effect of this drug is also directed to blocking allergic reactions, including swelling of the nasopharynx and skin rashes in the form of urticaria. Admission is made once a day, the action, depending on the characteristics of the body, begins within 20-60 minutes after use and persists throughout the day, without causing lethargy and sleepiness. In addition to the tablet form and syrup, Zodak is produced in drops, which makes it even more versatile, but it can be taken from 1 year onwards. This remedy should be taken with caution in kidney and liver diseases, as it has a lot of side effects. There are restrictions on the use of drugs by pregnant and lactating women.

Cheap antihistamines

In addition to the methods described, there are also cheaper antihistamines, but unlike Erius, analogues such as Suprastin and Diazolin affect the nervous system, which manifests itself in drowsiness and delayed response. As a rule, these drugs are not prescribed for long-term use. Pediatricians often recommend the use of these drugs before vaccination as a prophylaxis of allergy to the vaccine. And according to the reviews of moms, this procedure helps the kids to move the planned event more easily.

Suprastin has no children's release form, although it is used for children from birth, and injection solutions are used exclusively as an ambulance. Therefore, when prescribing the drug to a baby, the doctor indicates which part of the tablet should be diluted with water and given to the baby. It should be noted that the drug has a sedative effect.

"Diazolin" does not cause drowsiness so much and is produced not only in tablets, but also in a sweet-coated pellet with a baby dosage.
