According to clinical data, those who passed the course of vaccination with this drug in infancy, in 95% of cases received immunity, which persisted for 22 years. However, to maintain immunity, it is recommended to vaccinate approximately every 6-7 years.

"Repevac B" is a recombinant liquid yeast suspension intended for intramuscular administration. The drug is released in ampoules in a volume of 0.5 ml and 1 ml.

Indications

The vaccine against hepatitis "Regevac B" is recommended as a preventive measure for all age groups, including newborn babies. Immunization with this drug is made according to the calendar of mandatory vaccinations in Russia.

Vaccination against hepatitis B is mandatory only for those who are part of the potential risk group. Inoculate:

  • Children from boarding schools, orphanages and children's homes;
  • Those in whose families there are virus carriers or infected with hepatitis;
  • People who often use blood transfusion;
  • Working in the virology laboratory;
  • Students of any educational institutions and all health workers;
  • Those who for work or other reasons are in contact with things belonging to the patient with hepatitis B.

Unvaccinated in childhood, an adult vaccine can be placed, from 17 years to 55 years.

Vaccine "Regevac": instructions for use

Vaccination with this vaccine is made to young children and newborns intramuscularly in the mid-section of the thigh by 0.5 ml. For persons over 18 years of age, the dosage is 1 ml, the drug is injected into the deltoid muscle.

In general, there is more than one vaccination scheme for "Regevac". Depending on the group to which the patient belongs, the vaccine "Regevac B" can be administered in various ways, which we will introduce below.

For the newly born, the vaccination begins already in the hospital - the first inoculation is done in the first 24 hours of the baby's life. The second injection is put at the age of 3 months, and the third - at 6 months.

Children who have not been vaccinated before the year, as well as an ungrafted adult, are given the vaccine according to the scheme 0-1-6. That is, the first injection is done on the day of treatment, the second - after 1 month, the last - 6 months after the introduction of the first dose.

Infants whose mothers are at risk are considered the most vulnerable to hepatitis. Therefore, their vaccination includes 4 stages:

  • The vaccine is first introduced in the hospital;
  • The second - a month later;
  • The third - at the age of 2 months;
  • The fourth at 12 months.

Also in this category of children, when entering the first dose of the vaccine, immunoglobulin is usually added, but the latter is administered subcutaneously.

Those who contacted with the material belonging to the infected, the vaccine is introduced as follows: 1st - on the day of treatment; 2 nd - exactly 1 month; 3rd - after 2 months from the first vaccination.

Those who often use hemodialysis, the vaccine is put under the scheme: 1 - on the day of treatment; 2 - in 7 days; 3 - after 21 days after the first vaccination.

Preventive measures in case of emergency

The "Regevak" vaccine is also suitable for preventive purposes. The instruction accompanying the preparation has clear instructions to this effect. Thus, people who have had sexual contact with an infected person are advised to take the following measures.

In the first 2 days after contact, it is necessary to introduce an immunoglobulin, which protects the body for 2 months. However, in the first 2 weeks even after the administration of the drug, body protection will be significantly weakened. That is why, together with immunoglobulin, "Regevac B" is administered. The drug in any case should not be confused. After the introduction of two drugs, protection will be the most reliable and will last longer.

Application after infection

Contact with an infected person can lead to a disease. This happens in case of sperm, blood, ejaculate of the virus carrier or patient on the mucous membranes and skin of a healthy person. In such cases, "Regevac" (vaccine) can also help. The manufacturer, you can say, made sure that the product made by him became almost universal.

So, in cases of infection, the following treatment is provided.

  1. A person who has not been vaccinated before is given immunoglobulin and is given an emergency vaccination. This is done in cases where it is not known whether the virus was in the blood of a partner or not. If it is for certain that a partner has been infected, emergency vaccination is also carried out. In cases when the blood test for the presence of hepatitis in the blood is negative, vaccination is still carried out, but according to the planned scheme.
  2. A person who has been previously vaccinated, but whose blood has few antibodies, is once vaccinated in the absence of data on the presence or absence of the virus from the partner. Also, a single vaccination is done if it is known that the source is infected.
  3. If a person has been previously vaccinated and a sufficient number of antibodies have been found in his blood, he is not vaccinated.

A person does not pass the vaccination only if he was already vaccinated and the test showed a high level of antibodies in the blood. A document with the results of the analysis (HBs) is issued about this. Usually such measures become necessary in cases of violence and unprotected sex.

Reactions to the drug

The "Regevac B" vaccine can also cause side effects and unwanted reactions. Among them, the most common are:

  • Increase in body temperature up to 38 ° C;
  • Small swelling and redness of the injection site;
  • Headache and mild ailment;
  • Disorders and disorders of the digestive tract;
  • Various allergic reactions if the patient does not tolerate the components of the drug;
  • Pain in the joints and muscles.

Usually, reactions to vaccination are poorly expressed, and all the unwanted symptoms go away in 4-5 days. But if the drug is injected into a prone to allergic reactions for the first time, they are prescribed antihistamines, which are taken within 3-4 days (it can be said only by the attending physician) before vaccination.

Contraindications

The vaccine "Regevac B" is not suitable for everyone and has a number of contraindications. Among them there are temporary: exacerbation of chronic diseases or fever. In these cases, it is recommended to get vaccinated after a month from the time of full recovery. By this time the organism will be restored and can easily transfer the inoculation.

Now we list the constant contraindications for the introduction of "Regevak B":

  • Strong local reaction after the 1st vaccination. It appears that erythema (the zone of redness and swelling) is more than 8 mm in diameter.
  • Intolerance to yeast, including various pastries, breads, etc.
  • The temperature increase after grafting is higher than 40 ° C.
  • The occurrence of serious allergic reactions during the previous use of the vaccine.
  • Pregnancy.

In cases of easily flowing SARS, vaccination can be carried out immediately after a drop in temperature. However, in such cases, after the vaccination, stay under the supervision of doctors for the first half hour. Also, the drug should be administered indoors, where there are anti-shock drugs.

Price

You can buy without a prescription "Regevak" (vaccine). The price of the drug will vary slightly, depending on the city of residence, the pharmacy network and the dosage. Nevertheless, the average cost of the drug will be about 950 rubles, excluding delivery. In the pharmacies of Ukraine "Regevak" is almost impossible to buy.

Regevak (vaccine): reviews

In principle, reviews about the vaccine are mostly positive. Children can easily tolerate it, without complications and serious consequences. However, many mothers preferred to vaccinate not in the first hours of life, but at the age of 1 month. In addition, doctors themselves often advise "Regevac" as a vaccine, which is most easily tolerated. Nevertheless, patients are advised to read the instructions before the vaccine and follow the nurse, who will do the injection, since the medical staff does not always carry out the vaccination according to the instructions.

Another advantage of "Regevak" is its easy access and low price in comparison with foreign analogues, as the drug is produced in Russia.

As for adults, they also tolerate vaccination as easily as children. Although cases of vaccination of adults are very rare.

Thus, the vaccine is recommended by a rather large number of vaccines. The biggest plus of the drug is that it practically does not cause reactions in children.
