In the courtyard, the monks bred medicinal herbs, manufactured medicines from them and sold them at a local pharmacy. Now the pharmacy sells medicines, but not on the basis of local herbs. In the monastery library there are more than 30 000 ancient creations. In the museum of the monastery you can admire the treasures of the Franciscans.

Church and Monastery of the Dominicans

In the church, the Vukovar cross is kept - a gift from the Pope. In the monastery museum you can admire the paintings of local artists, products of gold, silver cross fine work and silver dishes in the form of a ship.

Fortress of St. John

The fortress dedicated to St. John was built to protect the port. Now its roof is used as a panoramic terrace. In the building of the fortress there are an aquarium and a museum, which is famous for exhibits telling about the development of the fleet. Here you can see the models of ships, maps and tools for navigation. And the inhabitants of the Adriatic Sea live in the aquarium .
