Underemployment or a free schedule?

More often in job ads, you can find the phrase "part-time". What is it, what is the essence of a part-time or a week? Let's look at it in order.

According to the materials of the free encyclopedia, incomplete is considered such employment, in which a person works less than the time set by the employer (usually less than 30 hours per week). For example, in a five-day week, everyone works for 8 hours a day, from nine to five, and a person with part-time work can go home at three or even an hour of the day.

In addition to part-time work, there is also an incomplete working week. All the same, only the number of hours and days decreases. Instead of five employees work four, three or only two days.

Finally, part-time employment can include both of these situations, and then both the working day and the whole working week are reduced simultaneously. The working time regime in any case must be agreed between the employer and the employee. This can happen when you enter a new position, or when you are on it for some time.

In practice, the situation is widespread when an employee himself asks for the establishment or abolition of part-time employment, taking into account his personal circumstances: according to individual beliefs or inability to work on a full schedule. But it can be appointed by law. For example, if it is required for a pregnant woman, an employee who brings up a small child or takes care of a sick family member. In some cases, a part-time job can be an initiative of the employer himself - then he must notify the employee about this for at least eight weeks.

Incomplete employment in Moscow or any other city should not restrict the labor rights of a person. Employees who work in this schedule have an annual leave, the time of their work is also included in the length of service. In the work book this period of work is fixed in the usual way. In addition, they are awarded bonuses on a general basis and have days off. Payment of such employment is carried out according to the schedule of hours worked or depending on the output.

The concept of "part-time" does not need to be confused with another common form of work - a free schedule. The latter implies flexibility of working time, independent regulation of the beginning and end of the work day. With such a schedule, it is mandatory only to work out the set number of hours for a specific period - a week, a month or a day.

Incomplete employment or work with a free schedule is often sought by those who do not want to work "from call to ring," to build their lives in accordance with the working schedule and all the forces to invest in a career. I will add that young mothers, students and everyone else who are interested in working in Moscow, part-time work may not be suitable. Perhaps you should pay attention to work with a sliding schedule, which will provide greater freedom of time and the possibility of self-control.
