Prestigious professions - what are they?

It's amazing how for several years the list under the name "Prestigious professions" has changed. Three years ago lawyers and managers were at the forefront, but now they have come to the back burner. This is due to the targeted programs in our country, due to which universities have a large number of budget places on technical specialties.

So it turns out that even if the graduate of the school does not want to study in this direction, the conditions of life dictate their own. Indeed, it is easier to enter a place financed from the budget, for example, to a polytechnic university, rather than to an economic institution. And it is simply beyond the power to pay for the training of many parents. So, dear students, do not despair, because in the next 10 years no engineer will be left without work. So, at least, the media say.

The most prestigious professions start with IT professionals. Now, information technologies are developing at a frantic pace, and graduates of higher and secondary educational institutions who have an understanding of web design, web programming, information security, software and know at least one foreign language (English preferably) will be successful.

I can not help but note that the engineer at present is a very prestigious job, especially if he is an economist or a lawyer.

In general, prestigious professions, as far as I can conclude, are not necessarily the most profitable. For example, from the above - the first specialist can receive a decent reward, working in several companies in combination. But the engineer at the plant, although it is the link of important production processes, does not always earn according to his specialty.

Ecologists and chemists are also prestigious professions, in the opinion of the population and the predictions of specialists. Soon, the authorities will seriously take care of the environment, its restoration and recovery - as reported in the news. In fact, to be honest, it's hard to believe, because now with incredible speed, new plants are being built that are not safe for the environment.

But chemists are certainly a prestigious profession, because it has to do with the government's target program, because activities are currently being carried out to find alternative sources of energy.

I would like to note that prestigious professions include medical workers, which can not but rejoice. Judging by the recent survey, many parents would like their children to study at this faculty. Now the shortage of doctors is sympathetic, sympathetic. Therefore, I want to hope that people go there to learn, feeling important, because, as you know, a health worker is a state of mind.

By the way, teachers, university teachers are also prestigious professions, associated with people with literacy and intelligence. At the same time, they are at the last places in terms of wages, which is another proof that prestige is determined more by the recognition and attitude of society.

Why is it wrong to say that prestige is also determined by the needs of the market? Yes, because at the beginning of the ratings you can find such professions as a manager, accountant, economist, financier, although these experts are oversaturated with the market.

Also I want to mention civil servants, with them the story is separate. Many, according to the survey, consider this profession quite profitable, even one of the highest paid, but they recognize it as the least prestigious one. But it is unlikely that many would refuse the title of official.

Thus, prestigious work is an ambiguous concept, and, despite all the ratings, it is worth deciding for yourself who to be. And let your profession remain without public recognition, but for you it will not be hard labor, but a daily holiday.
