Treatment of cervical erosion only under the supervision of a physician

Erosion of the cervix is one of the most common gynecological diseases. According to statistics, every second woman of the planet is the carrier of this pathology. Erosion is a violation of the integrity of the mucous membrane of the cervix. When a woman finds out that she was diagnosed, the question immediately arises: what to do, how to cure erosion of the cervix. It is not necessary to seek for yourself the answer to this question, and even more so to resort to the help of traditional medicine. Folk remedies, most likely, will not only not cure, but will exacerbate the situation.

It should be noted that it is possible to detect erosion only when a woman commits another, sometimes prolonged, visit to the gynecologist. The fact is that erosion of the cervix can not give signs of its existence. Quite often, though, there is a sip in the lower abdomen, and there are white or bloody discharge. But practice shows that women in rare cases pay attention to this. Since any disease is easier to treat at an early stage, the conclusion is this: at least twice a year to be examined by a gynecologist and monitor their sexual life.

The causes of the appearance of erosion can be the most diverse: inflammatory processes in the vagina, mechanical trauma (childbirth, obort), sexual infections (chlamydia, mycoplasmas), weakening of immunity, violation of the hormonal background and much more. To establish the concrete reason it will be possible only after full inspection and delivery of necessary analyzes.

As already mentioned above, treatment of cervical erosion should not be done on its own. It is better to listen to the doctor and begin to follow all his instructions. Treatment of erosion of the cervix uterus gynecologist will begin by having a good examination of the affected area, because depending on the size of erosion, the most effective method of treatment will be selected. The patient will be required to take a biopsy, and some other studies may also be prescribed by the doctor.

If the cause of the development of erosion have become any inflammatory processes or infections, then first you will have to cure them, and only then start to remove the education. Today, cervical erosion can be treated by one of the methods described below.

Diathermocoagulation

If to speak in simple words, then this cauterization of erosion by discharges of electric current. The old method is quite old and still the most common one. It is worth noting that the procedure is far from pleasant, since during cauterization the uterus contracts, while at the bottom of the abdomen there are strong painful sensations. The procedure itself lasts an average of 20 minutes, during which the air feels a slight smell of toasted meat. After the procedure is completed, a scar is formed, and within a few weeks the patient has clear, rarely spotted discharge.

Cryotherapy

The essence of this method is to act on erosion with liquid nitrogen, as a result, it collapses without the formation of a scar. The duration of the procedure is about 10 minutes, pain is practically not felt.

Radiowave surgery

Treatment of erosion of the cervix by this method passes contactlessly, with the help of radio waves. The procedure is fast, thus the scar is not formed and the occurrence of painful sensations is excluded.

Chemical coagulation

Removal of education with the help of special medicinal preparations (for example, solkagin). The drug is applied to erosion, and a slight tingling can be felt. It is effective only in the treatment of small formations, although even in this case complete recovery may not occur.

Laser therapy

Treatment of erosion of the cervix with a laser is a modern and rather expensive method. Apply it while only some clinics, so that not all women can count on it. The method consists in the effect on the formation of a laser beam, while the formation of a scar is excluded.

Thus, the treatment of erosion of the cervix in our time is quite feasible. True, sometimes it lasts longer than we would like. And all because no method can be 100% effective. Here the main thing is not to let go of the situation and to treat erosion, if there are no other ways out of this situation.
