Traveling with pets. What do you need to do before leaving?

"We are responsible for those who have tamed." Many people remember this phrase every time when they are going somewhere on vacation and begin to search for relatives who are familiar, who could attach a pet to their holiday. If you decide to make your unforgettable trip (for example, rent an apartment or villa in Spain and enjoy the Mediterranean) together with a loyal beast, then you should be ready for a rather tedious process of processing documents, certificates, certificates.

So, what should you pay attention to first? What it is necessary to issue?

First of all, you need to know - in our time traveling with pets is impossible if the latter are not equipped with a microchip, since now, without this upgrade, the animal will not get beyond the border.

Documents for travel with a pet :

- a veterinary passport of the current model. At the same time, it is highly desirable that it be an international

- In the passport should be a note on the de-worming done, vaccination against rabies, made in the period from 12 months to 30 days before departure. And it is very important that the drugs that were used are approved by the European Union, otherwise they will not be counted.

In addition, the relevant services of some countries require that these documents be in English. Therefore, in order not to get into a slump, it is better to be safe and to clarify this matter in advance at the consulate of the country you are going to visit.

But that's not all. At the local veterinary station, you will need to complete the Certificate of Form No. 1. You need to do this 3 days before departure. In this certificate there must be 2 seals, one of which must be delivered in the same Veterinary Administration. Here it is necessary to take a permit for the removal of a pet.

Now, with regard to transportation. It's simpler: if your friend weighs more than 8 kg, then you have to fly to him in the luggage compartment. So a week before the resort, perhaps, it is worth to put him on a diet, and before flying (at least an hour for 4), limit it in water.

And now, at last, all the wanderings, decorations, the road is already behind, and you are at the place of rest. About rental in Spain, you, of course, thought in advance, and found a version where pets are allowed, right?

Another very important remark: if you come with your favorite dog, then every time you go out with him (or her) from home, be sure to take a normal cellophane package (and preferably a couple). In Europe, if the policeman sees that you have not cleaned your dog, you are guaranteed a fine - no less than a little, and about 200 Euros will have to be laid out, so the locals habitually move the bag on their hands, rake in all the goods and throw them into the nearest urn .
