Glass perch is an aquarium fish. It is very unusual and stands out among other inhabitants with the transparency of its body. Reproduction

At the age of six months the perch glass is ready for reproduction. Males at this time begin to divide the territory, choose a place for spawning. The mating season lasts four days, during which time a couple of lovers of the perch spawn several times.

The female of a glass perch immediately lays six eggs, the male immediately impregnates them. During one spawning period, the female can lay about three hundred eggs. The incubation period lasts 25-30 hours.

Fish larvae already swim after the second day, at this time they need to start feeding. The diet of larvae is live dust and rotifers. When the kids grow up, about fourteen days later, they start eating the Cyclops nauplii with an appetite.
