Beach in Dzerzhinsk (Moscow region), ways of travel, features of rest

Not often industrial enterprises, instead of harming the environment, create a unique natural beauty. One of such successful examples can be observed in the city of Dzerzhinsky (Moscow region). The beach, located on one of its former industrial quarries, harmoniously blended into the natural landscape and became the favorite holiday destination. Dzerzhinsky spent many years collecting quartz sand, there was a GOK. As a result of this activity, a chain of quarries with water of sky blue color appeared. It's hard to believe that in half an hour's drive from Moscow there is a natural corner reminding some people of the Crimea, other Switzerland, the third anything, just not the suburbs. There, at any time of the year, it is wonderful to walk and admire nature, and in the summer, a wonderful opportunity of beach rest with bathing and sunbathing is added.

Dzerzhinskie career

The beach in Dzerzhinsky has its own history. Once, a million years ago, in the place of the city, the waters of the prehistoric ocean Tethys splashed. From it there were huge deposits of sand. By its structure and properties, it came up for the production of both window panes, and glassware, and medical containers. So they began to actively extract it. In Dzerzhinskoye GOK appeared, which ceased operations only in 2011, leaving behind several deep sand quarries. Gradually, they filled with water from the springs, beating from their bottom, giving the world delicious small lakes. Their shores are surrounded by forests with birch, pine, sea-buckthorn and rosehip, and in some areas rocks from the sandstone that has caked and hardened, like a stone, rise. Each pond has its name: Small and Large Dzerzhinsky quarry, the beach on which is the most well-maintained, Forest and ZIL Quarry. The latter is almost not used for recreation, as it is contaminated with industrial and domestic waste. Forest is considered the farthest. It is so deep that it became popular among divers. Its beaches on more than other open-cast mines are covered with forest, the beauty of which is appreciated by picnic lovers. There are several areas with sand spots, so to speak, unequipped beaches. Among them there is even a nudist. The Dzerzhinsky quarry or, as they say, the dredger is more convenient. It is here that the majority of the people come to rest.

Dzerzhinsky quarry, beach: how to get there?

The city of Dzerzhinsky is considered to be a satellite of Moscow, because it is very close to it, 21 km in a straight line and 26 km along the road. It is easy to get here both by private car and by public transport. If there are no big traffic jams, the route from MKAD will take no more than a quarter of an hour.

There are several schemes of travel, looking in which part of the capital will be the starting point. You can get to the metro station "Lublino". There, take bus number 305 (leaves every 15-18 minutes), drive to Dzerzhinsky, get off at a stop near the church, where you can reach the quarries. You can go and from the metro station "Kuzminki", where you need to get on the bus number 904 or fixed-route taxi №474с. And from the metro station "Ryazansky Prospekt" to the beach in Dzerzhinsky you can go by bus number 311. From the station "Lyubertsy" it is convenient to get to the quarries on minibus №26.

By car you need to get to the Moscow Ring Road, go on the Novoryazanskoye highway and follow it about 5 km before refueling. After it, turn right onto the Dzerzhinskoye highway, after about 700 m after the first turn again turn, now to the left, cross the railway. Move, pass the greenhouse and move to the intersection (about 1 km), on which again turn left, go to Kolhoznaya Street, cross the second railway. Move and follow up to the very career.

The beach in Dzerzhinsky is very spacious, sandy, the approach to the water from this side is quite shallow, the depth of the shore is small, the bottom is even. Where the sand ends, the grassy beach begins, which gradually rises and becomes steep and rocky. It's very difficult to go down on it, but it's even harder to climb. A strip of sand about 8-10 meters wide is divided into two - the Big Dzerzhinsky and the Lesser. On this scythe used to go dump trucks. Near the quarry there is a paid checkpoint for cars (entry from 200 rubles) and parking. The beach is equipped with a cafe, there are many water activities. Next to Dzerzhinsky is located Lesnoy quarry, which even has an islet. Previously, it was connected to the shore by a thin strip of sand, but after raising the water level it turned out to be completely cut off. Surprisingly, the water in all three quarries remains transparently clean all summer, despite the fact that there are hundreds of holidaymakers here. Even more popular with them was the recently opened beach and at the same time the extreme freestyle complex.
