Tomato "Little Red Riding Hood"

Perhaps there is not a single horticulturist who would not have heard anything about the tomato variety Red Riding Hood. Many prefer it to him. Suffice it to say that this variety is derived by the method of German breeding, and therefore its taste can not even be doubted.

It's no secret that the fruits of tomatoes, especially fresh, as well as tomato juice and pasta, have a beneficial effect on human health. They can lower blood pressure, reduce blood cholesterol. If you complain about problems associated with the gastrointestinal tract, then you should pay close attention to tomatoes. In addition, they are easily absorbed by the body and can also be easily digested.

Tomatoes abound with salts of potassium, iron, magnesium, zinc and cobalt. These substances are known to be important for the life of the human body.

Often gardeners prefer such a variety of tomatoes, like the Little Red Riding Hood. The logical question is: why does the choice fall precisely on tomatoes, named after the famous fairy-tale heroine?

Tomato Red cap, as is known, refers to early-ripening, stamping varieties of German breeding. The fruits of this variety ripen within 95 - 105 days.

The plant is usually short, but strong. In pasynkovanii it does not need. All fruits differ enviable density and roundness. They are all, as a selection, round, even. Their weight is about 60 or 70 grams.

Red-cap tomatoes are used most often for salad dressing, since their skin is very thin and tender.

Ripe fruit is always bright red, juicy, saturated color. Sometimes these tomatoes are grown directly on the balconies in the apartments. Everything is explained by the fact that they are potted plants.

If you study the information on the packaging of seeds, it becomes clear that the tomato Red Cap is early-maturing, and also the so-called super-determinant variety - the baby among all the others. Such seeds are suitable as no others for planting in the open ground. Since fruits belong to the early ripening category, they are not affected by the harmful effects of late blight.

Among other things, the tomato variety can be boldly grown in greenhouse conditions. It's no secret that many housewives in the summer are engaged in canning vegetables for the winter. It should be noted that the tomato red cap is ideal for these purposes. Its fruits are rounded, slightly flattened, at the same time they are rather fleshy, and there are few seeds in them - in a word, they are perfect for pickling.

If we ask experienced gardeners, for whom gardening is not just a word but a way of life, it becomes clear that tomatoes of this sort tolerate low temperatures well, and therefore they can be planted in open ground even in the climatic conditions of the North-West regions of our country.

If we talk about agrotechnics, it is, first of all, to note the fact that the tomato Red cap is grown, as a rule, in a seedling way. However, this can be said about other varieties of tomatoes.

Before planting seeds in the soil, they must be disinfected using a solution of manganese and potassium. Then the seeds are washed with running water and soaked. Usually the depth of planting is 0.5 centimeters. If the temperature is maintained within 18-25 degrees, the first shoots will appear within five or six days.

When the first comes - the second phase of aging, a pick is made. Subsequently, all care will consist of fertilizing the soil, regular watering, loosening the soil, and tempering the seedlings.

In late May - early June, seedlings can be planted in the open ground. There will be no more frost threats, moreover, the flowering phase of the first brush will come.

When you plant the seedlings in the hole, do not forget to make humus, and also water abundantly. During the whole summer, it is worth paying attention to the feeding.
