Timur Kibirov and his poetry - feedback from colleagues

The real name of the poet is purely Ossetian - Zapoev. He was born in February 1955 in the family of an officer of the Soviet Army and a teacher. He studied after graduating from a secondary school in the Moscow Regional Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of History and Philology. Timur Kibirov, whose biography was almost always associated with art, was the editor-in-chief of the Pushkin magazine, worked on NTV, on Radio Kultura, in the editorial board of the Literary Review magazine, and was engaged in translations from the Ossetian.

His poems were constantly published in various publications - these magazines and almanacs at least two dozen, including: "Theater Life", "New World", "Continent", "Friendship of Peoples", "Fire", "Banner". A notable collection of publications was collected in a short time by Timur Kibirov, a poet. Photos of modern celebrities seen in these magazines, many, and even before reading his poems, almost all came to the conclusion that this person is kind.

Style

According to the critic V. Kuritsyn, the verses written by Timur Kibirov invariably evoke bright tears in the reader, and the poet has two mechanisms for this: a childish Soviet aesthetics and an inescapable belief in the beautiful. According to the literary historian A.S. Nemzer, the poet Kibirov is a grandiose thematic mixture - from rain and fall foliage to civil unrest and hangover - all, as it were, God's world transmitted by the language of real poetry, where there is also everything: fury and tenderness , War and weasel, song and slogan, light and darkness. Like any real poetic language, it is blissfully meaningless and at the same time extremely precise.

The creativity of Timur Kibirov always causes controversy in the literary environment: some consider him the best tragedian of modern times, others see him as a singer of philistine consciousness. Most likely, critics, as always, are right even in the most polar opinions. After all, the poetry that Timur Kibirov brings to us, as if two dissimilar metals densely fused in the crucible, is now unknown what it is: gold or copper, tradition or modernity. And yet the poet's fame is largely due to the views of colleagues and the attention of critics. And Timur Kibirov is a very famous poet, he does not lose his opinions and attention. A word to colleagues.

Sergey Gandlevsky

Gandlevsky believes that Timur Kibirov - a poet who came on time, that's why he was heard in our modern disunity, when people are passionate about new interests and their own concerns. He is an uneasy and adventurous artist, for whom literature is not a reserve, it is for the poet a polygon, where it is possible to reduce scores with art, society and destiny. Timur Kibirov took a very serious attitude to all these kind of battles: in his poems and faith in the Word, and sacrifice, and devotion to literature.

The aesthetics of postmodernism, which Timur Kibirov took note of and followed her only outwardly, playing with styles, citations, was internally alien to him. There is no aesthetic fatigue in his poetry, coolness, nausea, there is only poetic fire and ardor of the author. What is now considered a bad form, teenage impetuosity, for example, is part of Timur Kibirov's vivid manner along with other catchy signs of his style, and Kibirov's impetuosity does not look like this. Imitators of this synthesis can not be overpowered.

"Rebel, on the contrary"

Further, Gandlevsky says that Timur Kibirov in his poetry is a militant reactionary, at the expense of this, too, he is provided with poetic solitude. The traditional romantic attitude and routine posture of the literary rebel, the lawless and single Kibirov is not only not interesting, he confronts them.

The poet was almost the first to feel that the poetic rebellion had become ridiculous and provincial, because poets-lawlessness had long vested, and "universal drinking" had become such a way of life that the understanding of the impossibility of such existence of things came. Do not call for a freeman, - Kibirov understood, - you need to keep order and goodwill.

"Back to the Future"

Sergei Gandlevsky believes that the poet's observance is motivated by dislike filled with love, because in pure form indignation is blind. Kibirova reflects and finds refuge the whole cruel and miserable Soviet world, while the past is now forgotten willingly and swiftly.

That's when the Pepsi preferers completely dislodge the newspeak of the Soviet period with Americanized slang, the price will not be this Kibirov encyclopedia of the dead language. Many of the poems of this author are true verbal flaunting, fun, pretty youth, but this love of life is redundant, like the genre Rabelaisianism. The surplus force pushes Kibirov to new literary adventures.

Leonid Kostyukov

A famous poet, novelist and critic Leonid Kostyukov recalls how in the eighties Timur Kibirov literally stunned the Moscow audience of poetry lovers with a rare device of verse, when for the most part it's funny, but the overall impression is seriousness itself. The author boldly varies genres and themes, but the poetic system does not break from this.

They say that poetry is incomprehensible for what they love. This is not true of many poets, including Kibirov. Not because he does not have poetry, but because he visibly shows his dignity: mind, humor, taste, accuracy, measure, culture. His poems are polemical, but he argues not with readers, but with someone else's and stupid. And the reader is always on the side of the poet entirely.
