This strange word "Kamchatka" ... Boiler room, rock club and museum V. Tsoi

Once Viktor Tsoy wrote the song "Kamchatka". It is unlikely that at the time of the creation of this immortal hit, the musician could assume that his name would become truly significant for his fans from all over the country. Today, "Kamchatka" - the boiler room where Viktor Robertovich once worked, has been turned into a real rock club and a museum dedicated to the leader of the "Kino" group.

The stokehold in Blokhin Street

In the USSR there was an article for parasitism, according to which, all the able-bodied population of the country had to work for its benefit. People did not like the creative state of affairs in any way. If you look at history, many famous poets and musicians of that period did not even want to get a "decent" society by the standards. However, the law is one for all. Realizing this simple truth, the young and talented sought to "somewhere" get settled.

"Boiler house" Kamchatka ", located in the basement of an ordinary residential building, has become the workplace of several outstanding musicians. Most often, the former stoker is associated with the name of Viktor Tsoi. In addition to the leader of the Kino group, Alexander Bashlachev, Sergey Firsov (producer), Svyatoslav Zaderiy (the founder of the Alisa group), Oleg Kotelnikov, Andrei Mashnin (the MashninBand group) worked here.

According to contemporaries, even at that time the boiler house was used not only for its intended purpose. Her friends regularly visited her creative workers. Often musicians created and performed their hits right in the basement of the stokehold.

The main thing - freedom

Today, "Kamchatka" - boiler room, turned into a club-museum. Here you can see interesting exhibits and works of folk art. But to imagine the true atmosphere of a real stokehold is difficult, even looking at old photos. The best boiler house, which Tsoi knew of it, is demonstrated in the documentary film of Alexei Uchitel. In one of the episodes, Viktor the stoker speaks of a sense of freedom and independence, habitually throwing coal into a furnace.

V. Tsoi took a job in the boiler room in 1986. The leader of the group "Kino" resigned only in 1988, becoming a truly famous and popular musician. "Boiler house" Kamchatka "liked creative youth not only with its atmosphere, but also with working conditions. Victor worked with the schedule day after two, thanks to which he had enough free time for creativity. The monthly salary of the stoker was 95 rubles.

Turning the boiler house into a museum

Victor Tsoi died in 1990 in a tragic manner. After his death, a large army of fans throughout the country literally went crazy. Young boys and girls spent the night at the grave of their idol, there were even attempts at suicide, on the walls of buildings in all the cities one phrase quickly appeared: "Tsoi is alive!" Gradually, the mass unrest associated with the death of the leader of the "Kino" group subsided, but the popularity Victor Robertovich did not decrease.

Nowadays, many listen to Tsoi's songs and are actively interested in his work. How did the legendary "Kamchatka" survived all these events? The boiler house functioned successfully until 1999. Closed the stokehouse only because of the improvement of the heating system. The director of the boiler-house Anatoly Sokolkov personally offered to make in the abandoned cellar a folk museum of V. Tsoi. The initiative was supported, and in 2003 solemn opening of a new memorial place devoted to the great musician took place.

Club-Museum "Boiler-house" Kamchatka "in our days

Blokhin Street greets tourists with dirty yellow facades of typical houses. On one of them you can see a portrait of Victor Tsoi. Do not miss this place during a walk and always go into the yard. On the walls of the buildings - colorful graffiti, unpretentious drawings with markers, lines from songs, wishes to "fan-brothers", concert posters. If you see all this, you came to the address, in front of you - the club "Boiler-house" Kamchatka ". Near the entrance to the cellar you can see a memorial plaque on the facade and a small bas-relief monument dedicated to Victor Tsoi.

In the "Kamchatka" itself, the furnace was preserved, in which the leader of the "Kino" group personally showered coal. For fans of Tsoi, it will be interesting to see several pieces of furniture that have been preserved since the end of the 1980s, as well as personal belongings of their idol. In addition, there is an impressive collection of various subjects, one way or another associated with the group "Cinema".

Information for tourists

The club museum opens its doors to everyone on a daily basis from 13.00. Music concerts and festivals are held here on weekends. On weekdays, you can visit this unique place for free. Inside, photography is allowed without restrictions. In the days of concerts you need to purchase tickets. If you suddenly forgot, we recall, "Boilerhouse" Kamchatka "has the address: st. Blokhin, 15 (entrance to the basement in the yard of the house).

Why all the same "Kamchatka"

Even the most loyal fans of the "Cinema" group sometimes wonder about the origin of the name of the stokehold. And really, why "Kamchatka"? His own song of the same name Victor Robertovich wrote before becoming a stoker. Perhaps he knew something in advance? Or did Tso's colleagues really like this composition? In fact, there is no exact answer to this question. Great popularity is enjoyed by the "household" version that the stoker got its name because of regular accidents. At breaks of pipes at times filled not only working premises, but also all court yard of an apartment house. Whatever the case, the name caught on well. And today everyone knows that Kamchatka is a boiler house, turned into a club-museum, where Viktor Tsoy himself once worked.
