Syntax error when installing APK-file: what is the reason and how to fix it?

Owners of mobile gadgets running OS Android, often when trying to install some applications encounter an unpleasant situation, when instead of a successful installation on the screen of the device appears a syntactic error when installing APK. Now we will consider the reasons for its occurrence and the simplest methods of correction.

Syntax error when installing the APK file: causes

First of all, you need to pay attention to the most basic things. For example, the option is not excluded that the installation file itself is either underdeveloped or simply corrupted. Most often this applies to situations when the file is not taken from the Google Play (Play Market) service, but downloaded from the Internet.

However, the most common phenomena can be called, say, the moment that the APK installation file is not designed for the version of the Android OS currently used on the device, and also that the system settings simply block the installation of third-party files received not from an official source (in Our case is the Play Market service).

If you look at the default settings, it's easy to guess that "operating system", in fact, prohibits the installation of custom applications. So it turns out that the installation of APK-files on "Android" becomes impossible due to the current limitations on the part of the system itself. However, there is always a way out, as they say.

Syntax error: how to fix (Android)?

In some cases, the occurrence of an installation error with the lock of the corresponding file may be accompanied by a notification of a lack of free space. Do not get upset. The gadget is all right. Simply the syntax error when installing the APK-file manifests itself this way.

To correct access to the installation you need to perform simple actions. Here everything comes down to disabling the prohibitions. In the simplest version, you need to use the settings menu, where security settings are selected. There is a special field called "Unknown Sources". Its activation (checkbox opposite) and involves installing permissions to install applications from third-party distributions.

If the syntax error occurs when installing the APK distribution again (most often it is related to the parsing of the application being installed), you should pay attention to the state of the package itself. You can try to download it again and reinstall.

In passing, you need to see which version of the system the program is designed for. For example, the application is designed for use in the Android 5.1 Lollipop environment, and the user tries to install it in 4.2 Jelly Bean or 4.4 KitKat. It is clear that the "operating system" itself simply will not accept it (does not recognize that it will work in this environment). Here you can give an analogy with Windows. No application, for example, for Windows 7 or 8 in a Windows XP environment, is not something that will not start, but it will not even be installed (this is for it to be understandable). The same is true with Android-modifications.

In this case, you will need to find an installation file that is designed specifically for the version of the system that is used on the gadget. By the way, sometimes this situation can appear in case of self-installation of some types of firmware. Here no one will give a guarantee that the installation will be successful.

The result

However, as you can see, the situation with errors is corrected quite simply. However, in most cases this applies to non-flashed Android systems. Otherwise, the most basic settings allow you to avoid errors in the future.
