Summarized accounting of working time: the concept and some features.

Everyone knows that there are types of work for which it is problematic to establish a standard eight-hour working day during the whole month, so the Russian Labor Code provides for a summation of working hours. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the employee can stay in the workplace, for example, during the day, and in the next two days not to go to work at all. He can work more than forty hours a week. At the same time, the total number of hours worked per working month should not exceed or be below the established number of working hours for each specific accounting period from one month to a year (but not more than a year). It is also forbidden to employ an employee to work 2 shifts in a row. Weekends in this case are days indicated in the schedules of work of workers of this category as non-working, and holidays in the conventional sense - on the contrary, may be workers.

Employers who decide to introduce a change in work schedule, risk violating the law because of the possibility of processing. Therefore, HR staff recommend summarized accounting of working hours.

Summarized accounting of working hours can be entered within the organization - the rules of their own (internal) work schedule. This is done on the basis of the order of the head, however this decision must be agreed with the representative bodies of the company. If the internal rules do not initially provide for the aggregate accounting of working hours, but after a certain period it has become necessary to introduce it - it is possible to make changes to the above rules.

The only case in which the law of the Russian Federation provides for mandatory summation of working hours is the shift work schedule when work is carried out far from the permanent place of residence of the employee and the employee can not return home every day.

The maintenance of the time sheet requires a very careful approach and attention, because for different participants in the team (unit), the duration of the work can be different, and it is important to accurately take into account the hours worked for each employee for correct wages.

The rules for filling out the timesheet indicate that you should be guided by the shift schedule agreed with employees for the accounting period. The employee has a fixed salary, and if he has worked all the shifts provided for by the shift schedule for the reporting month, he will be credited with a full salary. If within a month the employee worked less than the norm, then his salary should be proportional to the share of working off the norm. Thus, the size of the salary from month to month can vary. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the person responsible for filling out the time sheet must show in it actually hours worked, and not the norm. This rule should be adhered to and introducing letter symbols in the time table - codes.

When completing the time sheet, if the organization has an accumulated record of working time, it is necessary to adhere to simple rules. First, the appearance at the workplace and the withdrawal from it should be fixed in the whole for the organization or by its structural subdivisions. Adding a new employee to the time sheet is based on the order of admission, an employment contract or a contract. Third, each employee is assigned a unique personnel number, which is retained by the employee in the event that he moves to another position. In case of dismissal, the staff number of the dismissed employee is not given to another employee for two years.
