Old car tires are a valuable material when creating original decor elements for the garden, courtyard or playground. Previously, tires were used only as improvised flower pots or for fencing sports complexes and playgrounds. Now the craftsmen have learned to create incredibly beautiful figures of birds, animals, insects from the most ordinary car tires. Such decorations bring joy and coziness to any exterior. In this article we would like to share with you a master class on making a garden figure "swan" from a tire. With your hands, you can create a wonder bird, without spending a lot of money and energy. All that is required of you is to show a little imagination and patience. And then on your dacha site, next to an artificial pond or in the courtyard of the house, a proud and beautiful white swan from a tire will take a special place of honor.
Instructions for the manufacture of the craft "swan"
In order to make this beautiful decorative figure, you will need the following materials:
- Automobile tire;
- Paint (white, red and black) and brush;
- Chalk for marking;
- Self-tapping screws;
- metal plate;
- Bulgarian with discs for metal;
- drill.
So, how to cut a swan out of a tire properly? In fact, there is nothing complicated in this, but the work does not suffer haste and requires accuracy. The old tire is thoroughly washed and dried. We make markings on it from both sides: we paint the head, tail, wings, beak and neck. The length of the neck, as a rule, is about 90-95 cm, the beak is equal to 9 cm, the head - 10 cm. Now proceed to sawing the tires along the marked lines of the Bulgarian. Do this procedure by moving from yourself. Also, do not forget to wear a respirator and protect your hands with long sleeves. Now the workpiece should be turned inside out. Doing this alone is difficult, so you can ask for help. After turning out - bend the wings. After this procedure, the swan of the tire with their own hands is almost ready. Now you need to make the neck more beautiful, give it a rounded shape. We do this with a flexible metal plate. With a Bulgarian we cut out a strip (a little longer than the neck) of the desired length from the metal sheet and drill in it, at a distance of about 10 cm from each other holes. Now attach the strip of metal from the inside of the neck, carefully forming the necessary bend. Thus, the handmade swan made from a tire with its own hands acquires naturalistic and beautiful forms. It remains to fix the strip, attaching it to the breast of the bird. The birds are placed on a board or other tire and fixed with screws to give the swan stability. The final stage of the work involves painting the craft. To do this, it is more convenient to use paint in a can, which allows to color the bird evenly. We decorate the bill with a red color, and make the eyes from the screws and give them a black color. That's all, your original element of garden decor "swan" of the tire with your own hands is ready! Now this original decorative element can be placed near a pond, in a flower garden or in the courtyard of the house, it will please the eye and will appeal to both children and adults.
