The rights and duties of citizens - this is what everyone should know

The duties of citizens are a very numerous list. We are accountable to the state for much. But we also have rights, and there are many of them. True, most often in our time, pay attention to what people should, and not what they can. Well, it's worth briefly talking about duties, and about human rights and citizenship. Each of us must know them.

General concepts

The duties of a person and a citizen extend to each of us. Regardless of citizenship, faith, race and sex. If the person is territorially in Russia, then it does not matter.

The main duty is to comply with the Constitution, as well as the prescribed laws. And this is logical. Everyone must also observe the by-laws, as well as the laws of the subjects of the Russian Federation and their constitutions, just like acts of local self-government.

Still everyone should pay taxes and fees. Here are the financial obligations of citizens - this is the most extensive topic. All of us, if this is provided by law, should register with the tax authorities, as well as keep records of their own income and expenses. Still to submit to the tax authority its declarations, calculations, and also (if it comes to this request) a book of accounting for expenses, incomes and business transactions.

Social issues

The duties of a citizen of Russia are not only financial, but also social. The first is that if a person has a child (in the family or a single parent), he must bear responsibility for him, educate him and keep him until he is of age. That is, up to 18 years. But able-bodied children, in turn, after reaching this age are obliged to take care of their disabled parents. Get a job, help financially, feed, pay bills, in general, help with all your strength. Such duties of the citizen of Russia are specified in the family legislation.

About education

Now about this. The main duties of citizens are to obtain their education. At least in common. So says the Constitution. Parents or guardians are obliged to help children finish school. Obtaining secondary specialized or higher education is desirable, but not mandatory. And again, everyone has the right to do so regardless of their race, sex, mother tongue, nationality, place of residence, religion, beliefs, etc.

Cultural responsibilities

They are expressed in the care of monuments of culture and history. Each of us must preserve the historical and cultural heritage, and also try to contribute to their saving.

Another important place is occupied by the environmental obligations of citizens. This is what is fixed on the constitutional level. All people who are on the territory of Russia are obliged to protect nature and their environment. Everything is clear: do not throw garbage, do not throw cigarette butts, banks and stuff in the sea, rivers, etc. There is even environmental legislation. Paragraph 1 of Article 77 of Federal Law No. 7-FZ, which refers to the protection of the environment, says that all people who have harmed nature (pollution, depletion, damage or other effects) are liable to be punished and compensated for in full.

There is even a separate law for people who are private entrepreneurs without a legal entity. It also applies to those who occupy any position. What is this law? It states that all managers of enterprises, as well as those specialists who are responsible for making any decisions regarding the implementation of economic activities, must have training in the field of environmental safety.

Military issue

The duties of citizens are a very broad topic. It contains a lot of nuances. And one of the most important is the military duty. There is a special article known as number 59. It says that every male citizen must protect his Fatherland. But in Russia there are many people who, according to their convictions or creed, can not carry military service. However, such are the duties of a man and a male citizen. In this case they can replace the military service with an alternative civilian one.

There are also professional duties. They consist in the performance of their official duties. And of course, in the performance of professional duty.

About Rights

I would like to talk about this in the end. The rights and obligations of a citizen of the Russian Federation are a common theme. But, as always, what the person should do is given the most attention. Unlike what he can get. Therefore, we need to talk about rights.

Every citizen of the Russian Federation can receive a free education. Both general and higher. Admission to the university is carried out on a competitive basis. Also we all have the right to work. Everyone with education and with the relevant skills and qualities is required to take office. Discrimination in this respect (by age, sex, race, etc.) is unacceptable. If a person believes that a potential employer was incompetent, then he can even go to court about the unrealized right to get a job.

Most importantly, everyone has the right to freedom of speech. Unfortunately, this is not always welcome in our time. And still everyone has the right to freedom of choice. No one has the right to force a person to do anything against his will. Also, everyone can count on providing free medical, social assistance and to protect their interests, freedoms, life and immunity.

In general, we have a lot of rights, but no less duties.
