The philosopher's statement: What is valuable?
What is interesting about such a phenomenon as the statement of a philosopher? Man, probably, is the only creature on the planet Earth, who yearns to comprehend his own life and himself. Philosophy is a kind of cognition and world outlook that can be decomposed into shelves and rationally defined all these complex phenomena. But that's not all. Philosophy is not reduced to rationalism. It is in the same plane that faith, feelings, beliefs. Simply saying the philosopher knows how to justify all this.
In addition, every thinker has always been convinced of his own right and the mistakes of others, but in actual fact it turned out that his opinion bears in itself both truth and error. But anyway, this is a special kind of description and definition. Let's try to consider it.
The philosopher's statement as a world view
Speeches, aphorisms and statements of thinkers - this is not always a system of views on the outside world, but rather, a manifestation of an active self-determination of a person who is looking for his own way. And this search is often a goal as such. André Gide advises trusting people who are searching for the truth, but very cautious about those who claim to have already discovered it. Is not it true that there is an echo of the speeches of the Buddha (who is also often perceived as a philosopher, not just as a religious figure) that happiness is in itself a path. The road to this paradise does not exist.
The philosopher's statement as an understanding
Quite often quotes from thinkers of antiquity are tips to other people on how to relate to the surrounding reality. It happens that they look like the instructions of people who have already seen everything in their time to those who can not reconcile with the turmoil. This is especially characteristic of the philosophers of antiquity. "None of us meets on our journey in life anything that could not be carried," Marcus Aurelius is convinced . It seems to him that Pythagoras echoes in his words, this time far from mathematics, that any necessity represents also the possibility of something. On the other hand, modern philosophers often reproached the ancients for humility before despair, preferring rebellion and sacrifice, as, for example, Camus.
Sayings of philosophers about life
Philosophers' statements about a man
People are strange creatures, and at the same time worthy of veneration. So philosophers of the Renaissance considered. "A person can fall below demons, fly above the angels", - assured Pico della Mirandola. On the other hand, why are there evil people, fools, scum? Socrates was sure that a bad person does bad things not at all. He does so without any benefit, for some inner motivation. People who do not shine with the mind, according to Wilson Misner, always like to repeat that they are not fools. Quite an interesting statement on this topic is the conclusion, though not a professional philosopher, but a writer, that man is like the Moon. He always has a dark side. However, for the time being it is not visible to anyone.
