Modern Philosophy

Philosophy is a science that originated in the very depths of centuries. It was important and relevant at all times. Naturally, even now philosophy does not lose its popularity. And in our time there are great thinkers dealing with issues relating to being and the place in it of man. Modern philosophy has greatly changed, but it has not lost its significance. Let us consider in more detail all its features.

The philosophy of our time is a collection of all kinds of teachings. This is not a whole world outlook picture, but a variety of approaches to the eternal questions. Modern philosophy is much more tolerant than before. Now the person has the full right to choose. The modern individual can decide for himself what view of the world and the place of the person in it is closer to him. In this case, the person assumes full responsibility for the choice of his worldview position.

Modern philosophy refused to build any precise systems. Thinkers came to a firm conclusion that there can not exist either an initial scale or absolute reference frames. The philosophy of our time has given man complete independence. Now there are no more so-called "educators" in the person of the state, thinkers, and society. Consequently, the person is responsible for his life only on his shoulders.

Modern philosophy has almost completely abandoned the idea of changing the world and any social institutions. Thinkers have decided to eradicate the imperfection of being by another, more rational and effective way. They came to the conclusion that a person must first of all change himself, and then, inevitably, the entire surrounding world will change.

However, this discipline has its own problems. Some experts even note the crisis of philosophical thought. What is the reason? Modern technologies are developing every day. Life is changing very fast, because this is the age of a real breakthrough in many areas. Philosophy simply does not have time for such significant progress. However, from its successful formation depends the spiritual perfection of man. With all technical innovations, civilization ceases to be developed without the intangible aspects of life. That is why the role of philosophy in the modern world is simply enormous.

Let's briefly review the main directions of this discipline. First, it is an analytical philosophy. Linguistics plays an important role in it. Analytical philosophy has made the language practically its basis. This direction adheres to the rationalistic, logical, research approach to the knowledge of life.

Secondly, it is phenomenology. This direction goes to the very depth of human psychology. In accordance with it, each object and phenomenon should not be considered only as material objects with any characteristics. It is worth remembering that a real thing and its understanding in the mind of a person can vary significantly. It is the images of phenomena and objects that are perceived and fixed by the person, which has laid the foundation for this direction, calling them phenomena.

Thirdly, this is postmodernism. This is a very heterogeneous and diverse direction. However, it is united by the general idea that it is necessary to drop all old stereotypes, attitudes that have now begun to hamper the successful development of philosophical thought. Postmodernism rejects the old traditions and seeks new forms of knowledge of the world.

Now you know all the features of modern philosophy. In this period, this discipline is in a rather unstable situation, so it is difficult to clearly identify its main characteristics.
