The need is an incentive

From the very beginning of psychology, sociology, philosophy, economics, scientists give different definitions to the term "needs". You can say that the need is a conscious need. In food, safety, self-expression, love. Yes, anything.

Also the need is a powerful driving force. We do this or that, trying to satisfy a certain need. If you want to eat, you are looking for food, you are frozen, you are dressing. With more complex needs in the same way.

Researchers divide into groups or classify needs, relying on various signs and criteria. For example, physiological, basic or basic needs: food, sleep, safety.

Communicative, social or sociogenic. In communication, work, self-expression, learning, the need for love, finally. Spiritual: creativity, knowledge of the surrounding world and its own place in it.

Physiological (or vital) needs are conditioned by a specific biological necessity. Energy, self-preservation, the continuation of the race. Communicative and spiritual - are formed in the process of life, education, socialization of the individual.

What influences the formation of needs? First, internal factors. Personal interests, tastes, inclinations, habits, values. Secondly, external: the environment, social position, family, social circle, territorial factor, fashion, financial condition.

Needs can be divided according to the types of human activity. They can be associated with work (cognition, creation), development (play, self-realization), communication (socialization).

The desire to satisfy the need is the strongest motivation. It is the awareness of need in something that pushes us toward certain actions. It is possible to build such a chain: identifying needs - setting goals - activities to achieve it. For example, you want to relax in a tropical country. To do this, you need to earn a certain amount, agree on a vacation in the workplace and buy a ticket.

In modern life, there are all conditions for satisfying basic or physiological needs. We are already born in homes, we do not need to fight for food or survival, as distant ancestors. But more and more complex or higher needs arise.

One of the most powerful in our society has become the need for communication. It has been formed from the very beginning of our life. In the first months the baby is trying to interact with the parents. For three years he has a desire to expand this circle.

We all want to talk about ourselves, our interests, our hobbies. We constantly need new information. Even those people who are difficult to communicate because of their physical condition or psychological characteristics, have the opportunity to realize this need on the Internet. This is facilitated by social networks, forums, blogs, chats.

There is another important need. This is love, affection. She wants to not only receive, but give. It's a desire to be a part of something. Couples, families, circle of friends, societies by interests.

Two of these needs are closely related. Man is a social being. For a comfortable existence, he needs not only food and a roof over his head. We need to communicate, love and be loved. Otherwise, life ceases to be full.
