The modern information environment is what?

The modern information environment is what? What is the purpose of its creation? What advantages, at least theoretically, should it provide to the population? And for whom is it calculated in the first place? These questions, as well as a number of others, will be answered within the framework of this article.

general information

Talking about what the term "information environment" means, it is worth noting that it is rather difficult to express one definition. Therefore, in order to understand as best as possible, we give several opinions. According to OI Sokolova, this is how the pedagogical system and its provision in the form of a material, technical, regulatory, financial, economic and administrative component should be called. AA Andreev believes that this is a relevant anthroposophical information entourage, the main purpose of which is the disclosure of creative potential. V. A. Yasvin holds the opinion that this is a combination of all opportunities for the development and training of the individual. Moreover, this means both positive and negative aspects. The main thing is that they give opportunities. Interpretation of OA Ilchenko is also interesting, according to which the information environment is a part of space that is closest to a particular individual and is his environment and the set of conditions in which activities are carried out. In general, as you can see, there is no unity among scientists. But for a quality material, we should dwell on a certain interpretation.

Selection

As the most appropriate, the interpretation of SD Deryab was chosen. According to him, the information environment is a set of educational institutions, data banks, global and local information networks organized on the principle of systemicity, management bodies and book funds according to their functional, territorial and subject-thematic addressing. In addition, it must include the means of transmission, protocols of interaction, resources used, hardware-software and organizational-methodological support, aimed at educational activities.

Topological features

To better understand what a unified information environment is, we will outline the main points:

  1. It is a compound object with a systemic nature.
  2. A unified information environment for achieving a complex effect in the form of the realization of the goal should have such a property as the integrity of education and training.
  3. It is for the best result to develop the totality of human relations within the context of the socio-cultural and ideological adaptation of the individual to the world, and vice versa.
  4. To assess the effectiveness of a unified information environment, they monitor the positive and negative characteristics of the issuing entities. It should be tried, that the received result corresponded to the ordered vector of value orientations.
  5. It is necessary to understand that the information educational environment is not only a condition, but also a means of education and training.
  6. To create a coordinate system of leading conditions, use psychological-didactic and space-object components.
  7. The information educational environment constitutes a substratum of individualized activity that passes from learning situations to life.

A small digression

Now they talk a lot about how information environment, information system and much more are needed. Were they earlier? Of course. But in this case, we have the feature that it is now extremely easy to access certain information. And you can study in any place. Therefore, we can say that the environment = the information environment. The question is only in the quality of our knowledge.

Conceptual features

Despite the fact that the word "environment" (or even "space") is used to refer to the current situation and processes, this is not entirely correct. More appropriate, according to a number of scientists, is still a term such as "system". Why? The fact is that the use of phrases like "the environment", "information environment" began, more likely, with civil servants in the sphere of education, rather than scientists-educators. Such a state of affairs arose, probably because there is no time to think about the purity of scientific definitions. So, in many interpretations one can find words that the modern information environment is a collection (or system) of various elements - technical, educational and other components. We should not forget about the participants. And by them are meant both teachers and students. Interesting studies of this issue was conducted by Peskovsky E. A. So, in strict analysis it was determined that the educational environment is a subsystem of the sociocultural sphere. It includes 154 facts, situations and circumstances that have evolved over the course of history and are aimed at a holistic organization. But the sociocultural sphere is viewed as a system of key factors on which human development and the formation of education depend.

And what to do with it?

To understand complex processes and phenomena and develop effective scientific recommendations, modeling is often used. Full-time education and learning through the Internet is described by a single theoretical model. Should it be so? Yes! This is the power of science - that different processes can be described by one model. In addition, it allows you to clearly articulate the issues and tasks that need to be answered. So, the most significant is the goal, the content of the information, the means of transmission, the methods of teaching, the forms. In addition, a general picture of the student and teacher is provided.

The result of modeling the information and educational environment

The model used is suitable for analyzing various pedagogical processes. On its basis, one can formulate another vision of the topic under consideration. And this information will help us. The information environment is a pedagogical system, which includes its provision in the form of financial, economic, material, technical, regulatory and administrative components. What is the core in this case? The pedagogical system itself acts directly on them. Various pedagogical processes are also investigated.

Example

Consideration of such a complex and simultaneously interesting topic is difficult to imagine without paying attention to the model of the modern information and educational environment. And as an example, a virtual representation of the educational institution was chosen. Information environment technologies, which are considered, represent a set of interrelated software modules (service services), through which it is possible to prepare and implement the learning process, together with the implementation of any category of users of their functional responsibilities. The main ones in this case are the student and the teacher. A set of service services is a typical software. But the composition and content of the created resource will be determined directly by the educational institution. So, as the basic elements can be included electronic library, classes, administration and other necessary moments.

Feature

How does the information environment evolve and develop? Initially, an analysis is made of the methodological, organizational and scientific activities of educational institutions (nurseries, kindergartens, schools, universities, training and research institutes). Then, information is gathered about the type, content and characteristics of the information that ensures the functioning of the subjects. After this, it is necessary to develop a concept on the basis of organizational, scientific, educational, methodological and other functions. Then, the structure and working principle of the virtual class (chairs, laboratories, etc.) is built. Then you can start developing a site on the Internet, where all the required information will be posted. The advantage of this approach is that the subject can act not only in a very limited area, but also throughout the country, and even abroad. Of course, there is no need for this in the school class. But if we consider this aspect from the position of the department of the university or research laboratory, then this is extremely useful.

Conclusion

Information-educational environments (or systems) have a very great future. Now it is difficult to say what they will result in, but that development will go on - certainly. In the future, this can be implemented in virtual classes, when students can see with their own eyes what is happening and how (although it will be more accurate to say that they will see a qualitative simulation). Using this approach will improve the quality of learning. And this, in turn, will be extremely useful for the whole country - after all, the more educated people, the less crime, higher economic prosperity and many other positive things, looking at which one can confidently say: IOS needs to be developed and improved for the best result!
