Robots sent to clean the power unit in Fukushima, "died"!

The robots that were sent to the lifeless territory of Fukushima to clean it did not return. It turned out that the level of radiation at the power plant is too high, and their power units could not stand such stress.

A catastrophe of a monstrous scale

Purification has been going on for five years since the disaster at the Daichi nuclear power plant, Fukushima. In 2011, after the tsunami of incredible power struck the city, the power plant experienced three crisis situations. The lethal level of radiation means that people can not go to the power plant to get rid of radioactive waste or to neutralize them. As it turned out, robots are also not capable of this.

Japanese companies TEPCO and Toshiba have developed a series of robots that are able to descend under the water in the damaged cooling basins of the power plant in order to extract radioactive rods.

All robots "died"

Five custom-made robots set off to power station to perform a miracle. At the moment, none of them returned. As soon as they approached the power station, their wiring was destroyed by a high level of radiation, and they could not move any more.
