Director Sergei Mikaelyan took up work on this film, one might say, by accident. Several of his paintings, created in the seventies, "fell on the shelf." Alexander Vasinsky became its co-author.

Creative process at first was not taken care of. Mikaelyan asked for help from a friend, the famous screenwriter Viktor Merezhko. Despite the busyness, the writer gave the script for the future film a few days, but was completely at the suggestion to include his name in the credits.
