The biceps arm muscle is one of the main elements of the muscular system of the arm. Structure of the biceps

Despite the fact that the structure of the muscular structures of the hand is in a sense much easier than the bone, they deserve no less attention. This applies primarily to the occurrence of pain in the muscles of the hands. Although in fact, you can not attach more importance to a particular muscle, because they work together. However, in the labor activity of a person, the biceps arm muscle and the three-headed muscle experience the greatest load. In a more simple and understandable language, they are called biceps and triceps, respectively. The first plays the role of the flexor arm in the elbow, and the second - the extensor. In the framework of this article, we briefly review the structure of the biceps, its functions and other important details.

Biceps, or biceps arm muscle, with the help of tendons and ligaments connects to the forearm half of the arm. In the upper part this muscle is divided into a pair of heads. One of them with the help of tendons is attached to the beak-like process on the scapula. The second is attached to a small tubercle of the scapula, which is above the joint. At the junction of these parts is a synovial bag. Fastening of the biceps tendons is carried out on top of the radius bone.

As already mentioned, the biceps arm muscle performs the function of flexing the arm at the elbow, raising the arm. In addition, with the help of the biceps, it is possible to turn the forearms inwards. As a rule, in people who regularly perform physically hard work or are engaged in power exercises, the biceps are quite developed.

The biceps brachium is the first thing people pay attention to when they judge the physical strength of a person, in particular, a man. Therefore, a lot of strength exercises are aimed specifically at pumping the biceps. Although in fact it is not right: the biceps muscle develops to a greater extent when performing not isolated (lifting the barbell or dumbbell on the bicep), but other loads. This is more effective during stubborn training with the use of such basic exercises as pull-ups on the bar, rod rod to the stomach, traction on the block simulator, etc.

Despite its important function and relatively high work capacity, the biceps arm muscle is very vulnerable. After too much load, it can recover at the fiber level for quite some time. In some cases, as a rule, due to chronic diseases (tendovaginitis, etc.), with uncontrolled lifting of large weights or with very strong muscle contraction, bicep rupture is possible. This mainly happens with a long head. The first symptom is intolerable pain, deformation of the arm in the biceps region, etc. The biceps brachium muscle after such a trauma takes a long time to normal position and returns to the previous level of work capacity. And then - only with the correct fixation of the tendons and the muscle itself.

Pain in the muscles of the shoulder in any part of them should be eliminated in the shortest possible time. To this end, competent medical assistance is needed. However, if the pain is not too strong and it is clear that it has occurred after unusual force loads, then one can do without a doctor's help. The cause of unpleasant symptoms is quite simple - the secretion of lactic acid in the muscles. This is a natural reaction of the body to muscle overload for the fastest recovery. Eliminate pain in such cases by using simple, inexpensive but well- warming ointments.
