The basic equipment of road-building works - a road mill

Wearing time, any road surface not only causes discomfort to road users, but also becomes a threat to their safety. For carrying out various road-building or repair works, a special technique is used, including a road milling cutter.

This equipment is designed to remove asphalt concrete layer by loosening and grinding it. Using such special equipment allows you to perform work quickly and efficiently. Road mills, according to the accepted classification, are divided into two types:

1. Caterpillar models of technology, as a rule, are operated on highways. They differ in their heavy construction. The width of the drum is 1500-2100 mm, and the maximum depth of milling works is 32 cm.
2. Wheeled cutters, due to their compact dimensions, can be used in a limited space and are suitable for work on sidewalks, adjacent areas and other cramped places. The width of the drum for these machines is much smaller than for tracked ones - from 500 to 1500 mm.

Such universal equipment, as a road icebreaker, is used not only in winter to clear roads from ice and rolled snow layer, but also in summer, in the process of restoration work on gravel or dirt roads or to eliminate the consequences of spring mudslides.
