The ways of the Lord are inscrutable, and only He knows how, how to give a wonderful message about himself, to send people hope in troubles and comfort in sorrow. This happens in different ways: through meeting with wise and kind people, reading spiritual books or prophetic visions.
The first mention of the icon
The temple of the icon of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya" in Chertanovo (Moscow) by today's standards is quite "young," there is hardly more than a decade. He became famous because of the miraculous image, the very phenomenon of which people can not be called except by the grace of the Lord. In February 1917 a certain peasant woman, a simple but devout woman named Yevdokia Andrianova, began to dream of strange dreams. It was as if some voice had told her that there was an icon in the Kolomenskoye suburb near Moscow. It is large in size, black in color. And people should be given a "red make", so that all could pray. The first woman did not quite understand the dream, although she sensed his mystical significance. The temple of the icon of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya" (in Chertanovo) then still, naturally, did not exist. But it was with these dreams that history began to bring events closer to the construction in various ways. In the second vision of Andrianova, a beautifully majestic woman, in which she recognized the Virgin Mary, became fanciful. The Mother of God was in the white church and repeated her instructions. Not daring to resist the Higher Will, Evdokia went to Kolomenskoye and told all about the abbot.
Opening the icon
The priest began to consider with Andrianova all the ancient images of Our Lady on the iconostasis. But none was like the one she dreamed. Then, from the basement of the church, a large old icon, which was located long ago, was brought there, covered with a layer of dust. When it was put in order, both the priest, and Evdokia, and the watchman of the house of God stood still in the holy trepidation. Before them, in all its glory and solemnity, the image of the Mother of God appeared in the image of the Queen of Heaven. She was seated on the heavenly throne, in royal clothes, in a crown, with a scepter and power. On her knees Mother kept the Baby blessing the people. It was this image that later decorated the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya" in Chertanovo. After all, Eudokia saw him in prophetic dreams!
The second life of the icon
The rumor of a wonderful discovery immediately flew not only around Moscow, but also spread far beyond the region. In Kolomenskoye, pilgrims from all over Russia, Mother, were drawn, asking the Intercessor for their needs, finding support in their sorrows and sorrows. During the Soviet era, as a historical value, the image was given for preservation in the funds of the Moscow Diocese, and then to the State Historical Museum. In the 1990s, when the people turned again to face Christ, the icon returned to Kolomenskoye. And in the autumn of 2001 a wooden temple of the icon of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya" was built in Chertanovo. At the present time a permanent, already stone church is built nearby.
Abode of the Lord
District Chertanovo is located in the Southern Moscow District. In the city limits entered in 1960. On the street of the same name, named so in December 1968, stands the temple of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God. The eastern facade of the wooden church is decorated with an amazingly beautiful mosaic, completely repeating the Sacred image. Liturgies and evening services are held here daily. The icon "The Sovereign Mother of God" draws to itself the hearts of believers and the suffering, and everyone can after the evening prayer confess, take off the weight of sins, consult with the priests. On Saturdays and Sundays, the rites of holy water baptism (children from infancy and older, as well as adults who wish to come to the bosom of the Christian Orthodox Church) are held for the needs of citizens.
