Spazmalgon instruction refers to non-narcotic analgesics. The drug has an antispasmodic effect. The combination of the three components in the medicament makes it possible to alleviate the pain, reduce the fever, relax the smooth muscles.

Active substances: pitofen hydrochloride, sodium metamizole, fenpiverinium bromide. Auxiliary components: wheat starch, lactose monohydrate, sodium hydrogen carbonate, magnesium stearate, talc, gelatin.

The drug is prescribed with a moderate or mild pain syndrome against a background of spasms of smooth muscles in the internal organs: hepatic, renal colic, pain along the bowels of a spastic nature, algodismenorea. Spazmalgon instruction allows for use with short-term symptomatic therapy for myalgia, ischialgia, neuralgia, joint pain. As an auxiliary component, the drug is used to reduce the intensity of pain after surgical or diagnostic interventions. If necessary, the medication is prescribed at an elevated temperature against the background of infectious inflammatory and cold diseases.

No medication is prescribed for unstable and stable angina pectoris, oppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis, at the stage of decompensation of chronic heart failure, with pronounced disorders of hepatic and renal functions, tachyarrhythmia, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase. Contraindicated drug and with intestinal obstruction, zakratougolnoy glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia with predisposition to urinary retention, granulocytopenia, megalocone.

Spazmalgon is not administered during pregnancy (especially in the last six weeks and the first trimester of gestation), children under six years of age, with lactation.

With a tendency to develop arterial hypotension, bronchospasm, patients with disorders of kidney and liver function, with individual hypersensitivity to non-narcotic analgesics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the drug is administered with extreme caution.

Medication to patients older than fifteen years is prescribed orally, preferably after eating one or two tablets no more than three times a day. In a day, you should not take more than six tablets.

The duration of the drug is no more than five days.

If necessary, only a specialist can increase the dosage or duration of therapy.

Use the drug for children is allowed only on the advice of a doctor. Patients aged six to eight years are prescribed half a tablet, nine to twelve years - three quarters, from thirteen to fifteen years - on a tablet not more than three times a day.

Side effects when taking the drug "Spasmalgon": headache, dry mouth, dizziness, burning sensation in the epigastric region (under the chest), cyanosis, lowering blood pressure, anticholinergic reactions (difficulty urinating, decreased sweating, etc.), tachycardia, anuria, interstitial Nephritis, oliguria, a disorder of renal function, staining in red urine. Long-term use of the drug may trigger leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis. In some cases, urticaria, exudative erythema (multiforme), Quincke's edema, Lyell's syndrome (necrolysis epidermal toxic), anaphylactic shock.

An overdose of the drug is accompanied by a decrease in sweating, dry mouth, nausea, drowsiness, lower blood pressure, confusion, convulsions, impaired liver and kidney function. Assign with a similar state of gastric lavage, activated charcoal, as well as symptomatic therapy.
