Muscari. Planting and care

Gardeners who care about the flowering began already in early spring, necessarily grow the flowers of muscari (photos can be easily found). They open first, in warmer areas - in March, pleasing the eye for 2 months, and then rest. Grow small bushes of small height: from 10 to 20 cm, and on good soils and with proper care up to 30 cm. Small fragrant bumps 0.5 cm long include up to 50 flowers. Coloring them is various: blue, violet, lilac, white, blue with a white border, pale yellow. The muskyri Armenian is especially beautiful, and its soft blue flowers are surrounded by a white border and have a very pleasant smell.

Selecting a landing site

Muscari, planting and caring for which is fairly simple, always responds to the care of the gardener with bright and abundant flowering. They love the sun, but they can grow and blossom in the shadows. Plant Muscari in rock gardens, in separate groups, make out paths, brochures, beds, curbs. They effectively look in small gardens in the form of lawns, lawns. They can be planted under the trees: with the early flowering of the mouse hyacinth (the second name of this plant), the green foliage does not obscure, does not interfere with growth. But, despite the unpretentiousness of muscari, planting and nursing under evergreen shrubs will not lead to the desired result. There, the flowers wither. But under the peonies, in their roots, you can plant without fear, - the decorativity of the culture will only increase, and space will become available for other plants.

Reproduction

These flowers like friable, slightly acid, permeable to air, well drained soil. Where the soil moisture is increased, in the lowlands with stagnation of water, the plants die. After the landing of the muscari, planting and nursing in the future will take several years, when the bush will grow. You can multiply flowers by bulbs and seeds. The most reliable method is the separation and seeding of bulbs. They are small and although they grow well, do not interfere with each other, so do not require an annual division. In addition, mouse hyacinth grows well in the nest. The more fertile the soil, the larger the bulbs grow, the brighter and longer the flowering, the easier they take root in the new place. Separation of nests is conducted no more often than once in 3 years, at the very beginning of autumn. Mouse hyacinth bulbs should be planted immediately after division, into pits 7 cm deep, at a distance of 5-10 cm and, necessarily, in groups.

Nutrition and watering of plants

It is important that for the muscari planting and care begin simultaneously: organic fertilizers are immediately introduced (compost - 5 kg per square meter). In spring, when the snow has not melted, it is advisable to make mineral fertilizer. As for irrigation, it is only needed at the beginning of growth. In the period of vegetative dormancy - and this is practically the whole summer, watering is harmful. Good care for flowers in the garden will provide abundant flowering, better prepare for reproduction. Mouse hyacinth wintering grounds and it is sheltered for winter only after the initial landing, and then it safely overwinter in any climatic zone and early in the spring pleases with abundant flowers, animates the garden.
