Solid fuel boiler: advantages of use

The solid fuel boiler differs in that the fuel supply to it is not automated. For this reason, this type of device refers to a batch device. The heat carrier in them is heated only during the combustion of each new portion of fuel. To somehow smooth out fluctuations in temperature, it is necessary to constantly load firewood or coal.

At present, the solid fuel boiler allows it to be consumed much longer due to the availability of various systems that prolong combustion and make it more even. Pyrolysis devices with an increased duration of fuel combustion are used, which is quite convenient. Each system of heating regulation at home through such devices has certain advantages and disadvantages, but no one can solve the problem radically.

If a solid-fuel heating boiler is installed in the house , it would be nice to have a heat accumulator that accumulates energy during the operation of the device, and then gives heat during pauses in operation. The presence of such a device optimizes and stabilizes the mode of heating the home. The temperature fluctuations are slowed down, and the frequency of fuel loading increases.

The density and mass of building materials is higher, the greater their heat capacity. Everyone noticed that in buildings with thick stone walls, it's fresh in summer, and in winter it's warm. Modern technologies in construction go in the opposite direction. The constructions become lighter, the use of materials with low density increases. For example, a house erected on a frame-panel or frame technology, is able to provide thermal comfort only on condition that the heating and air-conditioning systems will work continuously. This structure has a minimum heat capacity.

If the house uses a solid fuel boiler, you can use a concrete screed of the warm floor as a battery to increase comfort. This is due to the following reasons. The design of the floor with water heating contains a rather impressive layer of concrete. Such a floor can be called a kind of analogue of the Russian furnace in modern construction. The warm floor as a result becomes an accumulating heater, which slows down the temperature fluctuations and increases the comfort of the whole system, which is based on the solid fuel boiler.

In a room equipped with a warm floor, you can ensure thermal comfort at a temperature a couple of degrees lower than with traditional radiators, so you can save fuel.

In a house where the solid fuel boiler is used as the main source of heat, reviews of which are predominantly positive, it is recommended to arrange a warm floor in all rooms. If you include radiators in separate rooms, then a small thermal inertia will cause the rooms to heat up more quickly and cool down. Temperature fluctuations in rooms with warm floors between the furnaces will be minimal.
