Snake - snake is not poisonous

Poloz - a kind of snakes, belonging to the family. They live in Southern Europe, North America, Asia, and also in the territory of our country. The dinner is numerous and varied.

One of the largest representatives of the family is the yellow-belly skid - a snake reaching a two-meter length and considered the largest in Europe. There are a lot of fables about him. For example, that he pursues people, strangles them and drags them to his lair. It's fiction, but the snake's snake is really capable of unexpectedly and unreasonably attacking a person, although it can not cause serious harm: its bites are not strong, and a person can simply drop the snake. Of course, it's terrible when such a huge man attacks, and yet this is not an excuse to mercilessly kill snakes - active rodent fighters, even such large ones as gophers.

Not all members of this family are aggressive. The olive slice is a snake, preferring not to communicate with a person, but to immediately disappear from sight. It occurs in Central Asia and Transcaucasia, but prefers to live near human dwellings, sometimes even in attics and in kitchen gardens.

Many people do not understand whether the snake is a poisonous snake or not? So, of course, there are teeth, and he can pin them down, but there are no poisonous glands, that is, he does not carry a mortal danger. Among the representatives of the species there is a species, in which the saliva is quite toxic. This is a multi-colored skid - a snake that can bite, only if it is grabbed or frightened. Otherwise, this reptile is peaceful, moreover - when you meet a person, it escapes from it so fast that it is not always possible to track it.

The largest representative of the family lives in the valley of the Mugrab River in Southeast Asia. This is a large-eyed skid - a snake up to 3.5 meters long, very peaceful. In the most extreme case, it is able to use the force of a blow with the tail on the head. By the way, this is the second largest snake after boa constriction among non-poisonous reptiles.

All the slices perfectly swim and climb trees. Some even settle in hollows and eat without going down from the tree. Another interesting species is the Aesculapius skid. The snake has specific abdominal scutes for climbing trees, but on the ground it spends a lot of time hunting and stalking rodents.

There are also patterned, leopard, Transcaucasian skid. All of them like to feast on bird eggs and chicks, but the benefits from them overlap the harm done. What can not be said about the four-lane strip - this snake is very harmful, since rodents do not interest it, it feeds exclusively on birds, ravages duplics and birdhouses.

Special attention deserves a cupid snake, a two-meter long snake living in the Far East. He is not at all afraid of people and gets on well in captivity. In those parts and today in the yards, large calm tame snakes sometimes creep, and there are no rodents in sight. You can say that he acts as a cat.

The mating of all the same takes place in May. The male wraps around the female, holds it by the neck with jaws and in this position they remain about 30 minutes. Later, the female will lay 10 eggs and more, of which in September the offspring will appear.

Strokes with a cold snap takes place in the chosen places for the winter. The surface comes out with a warming, around March-April.
