The second part not only continues the visual line of the first film, but also is shot in 3D. The film was filmed by the same Rodriguez and Miller, but without Tarantino. For objective reasons

On the original comic books, only the only short story is based - the headline "Woman for whose sake it is worth to kill", F. Miller invented all the other stories himself. In general, the stories relate to the fate of the characters from the first part. In the second film, even those whom the creators seemingly irretrievably killed have returned. In the movie "Sin City 2" the actors involved in the production of the first tape do not participate due to objective reasons: Michael Clark Duncan and Brittany Murphy died suddenly, Devon Aoki is on a maternity leave, Clive Owen turns into Josh Brolin thanks to the efforts of a plastic surgeon .

The narrative of the sequel consists of four novels, of which only one (under the title "Long horrible night") introduces the viewer to the new character - the young player Johnny, who won his poker game from almighty Senator Roarke. The three remaining ones supplement the stories of the heroes, known to the audience from the first film and moved to "Sin City 2".

Actors and roles

The photo, which became the title poster of the sequel, serves as a clear proof that, in addition to returning professionals like Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke, novices also play in the movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt reincarnated in the seasoned and highly presumptuous brilliant poker player Johnny. And the artist of the episodic role, Christopher Lloyd, had a few minutes of screen time to make his character one of the most impressive and memorable. Lloyd purposely made a parody of his famous character of an extraordinarily brilliant doctor from the epic "Back to the Future", only in Miller's project his character is always a drunk, hamovaty surgeon who does not ask unnecessary questions, swearing and patting his patients.

Despite the professionalism and the efforts of the cast, according to foreign critics, the best actor's work is the image embodied by Eva Green. She is brilliant in the role of the deadly and treacherous seducer of the Ava Lord, skilfully manipulating representatives of the strong half of humanity. She infinitely changes the faces, acting in the role of a frightened victim, distraught with the passions of a nymphomaniac, an impregnable goddess. Novella, dedicated to the character of Eve, is the best in the film, the most dramatic and intriguing. Separate scenes involving Green caused a real scandal in the film association of the US, so they were frank. The actress is known to the viewer for participation in the films "Kingdom of Heaven", "Casino Royale", "Dark Shadows" and now "Sin City 2".
