Self-installation of a gas boiler wall

Stages of installation of a wall gas boiler

1. Installation of the gas boiler begins with the determination of its location. The best option is to select a section of the wall where access to the boiler will not be difficult when carrying out preventive maintenance. Also, it should be borne in mind that a chimney will come to the boiler to remove combustion products.
2. After the location for the boiler is determined, it is necessary to make a hole for the chimney through the wall or roof. It should be of sufficient diameter to provide natural draft. If the boiler is operated through a forced draft chimney, the hole must have a diameter corresponding to the size of the forced draft chimney.
3. Next, the gas boiler is installed on the wall by means of anchor bolts or hooks. After the suspension of the boiler equipment, the assembly stage of the hood begins. Most often the hood is assembled from straight and corner modules. After the installation of the chimney, the hole in the wall is covered with foam.
4. After the installation of the gas boiler and the extractor is made, the stage of its connection to the heating circuit begins. If the boiler is double-circuit, connection to the cold and hot water supply lines is immediately made. When connecting to a cold water supply system and a return line, it is recommended to install water purification filters to prevent dirt from entering the boiler. It is also recommended to install shut-off valves, so that you can turn off the water for preventive and repair work.
5. At this step, you must connect the boiler to the gas supply system.
6. If the boiler is volatile, the emergency system or uninterruptible power supply is connected to electricity. After that, the plug of the gas boiler is connected to an uninterruptible power supply or battery.
7. The last stage of installing a gas boiler is testing the operation of both the boiler itself and the entire heating and water supply system as a whole. First the heating circuit is filled with water through the return line, the cold water inlet valve opens into the second heat exchanger for hot water supply, the hot water tap opens. After the system is filled with water, the boiler switches on. Then, its work on heating the water in the heating circuit and hot water supply system is checked, all pipes and connections are inspected for the presence of streaks. If everything works properly, the installation of the gas boiler has been successfully completed. You can safely use the device.
