Depending on the size, they are ideal for decorating the hairstyles of girls of different ages, including everyday.

A simple option: what will be needed

If you want to learn how to make hair straighteners yourself in Kansas style, then do not immediately start making compositions with a lot of details, hoping to become the author of the masterpiece. Try to get a product decorated with one small flower first.

To do this, you need:

• Satin ribbon of red, white and green flowers 4 cm wide;
• Soft hair band with thread braiding;
• scissors;
• Rhinestones for decorating the middle;
• Candle (lighter);
• Satin ribbon with a width of 10 or 5 mm green;
• Glue gun.

Manufacturing

To make a flower of 5 petals, you need to cut 3 squares of red satin ribbon 4 cm wide and 2 - from white.

Then each of them:

• Fold doubly diagonally;
• Turn folded up;
• Create a crease in the bottom part 3 so that the petal is formed;
• Cut from the wrong side;
• Melt the cut on the flame of the candle and clamp the fingers to grasp.

As for the production of the leaf, then, again, first cut out a square from the green satin ribbon. Then:

• Cut it along the diagonal;
• Superimpose halves on each other;
• Melt the long side and compress with fingers so that the halves are glued together;
• Again cut diagonally perpendicular to the seam, so that two blanks are obtained;
• Take one half and put the sharp ends to the wrong side;
• "Glue" the leaf in the lower part of the candle flame;
• The same is done with the second workpiece.

When all the petals and 2 leaves are ready, proceed to the design of the flower and gum.

Flower Assembling

At the final stage of creating hair gum (kanzash) use an adhesive gun.

The assembly is as follows:

• Glue all the petals so that the flower is made;
• Decorate the middle of the rhinestone;
• On the opposite side, paste two leaves on the flower;
• Press with your fingers so that all parts are connected more tightly;
• A thin strip of 5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide is cut from the green tape;
• Fold doubly;
• Apply a drop of glue to the fold;
• Put the tape on the metal gum clip;
• Glue so that the junction is end-to-end with the elastic band;
• Straighten the ends of the strip;
• Glued from the wrong side to the elastic band;
• Cut off the ends of the strip and apply glue;
• Lay a flower and press it with your fingers.

What will it take to make a multilayer flower to decorate the gum?

Having mastered the technique of circular petals, you can proceed to create more complex products in Kansas technique. As in the previous master class, the product will be based on squares cut from satin ribbons of two different colors 3, 4 and 7 cm wide. As for the tools, you will need a glue gun, a ballpoint pen, sharp scissors, a candle, a lighter, tweezers and Ruler. You will also need a rhinestone or bead to decorate the middle of the flower and a rubber band with a textile braid, cotton threads in the tone of ribbons, cardboard and a needle.

First of all, you should learn how to glue a sharp petal. For this:

• A square cut from a satin ribbon 7 cm wide, folded twice diagonally;
• Repeat this action so that the new fold passes from the top of the right angle to the center of the hypotenuse;
• Fold the workpiece one last time;
• Cut as shown in the figure below;
• Pinch the petal with tweezers;
• "Seal" the slices above the flame of the candle;
• The same is done with another 13 squares of a ribbon of the same color 7 cm wide.

By the same scheme, petals are made for the second and third level of the flower for hair gum (kanzash). They can be from a tape of the same or different colors 3 and 4 cm wide. In this case, 5 of them should be a smaller size, and 9 - a larger one.

Assembly

Making a complex flower for a rubber band for Kanzash hair with your own hands will require patience, especially at the last stage. The assembly is carried out in the following order:

• Sew the ends of the large petals so that the flower is made;
• From a small piece of dense cardboard, a circle with a diameter of 3 cm is cut into a flower's tone;
• Sew together the petals of medium size;
• Paste first the first flower on the cardboard;
• Fix the top with a second gun;
• Glue together the most miniature petals;
• From the tape that was used to make the first flower, cut out a strip 1 cm wide;
• Paste the third flower on the other two and decorate in the center with a rhinestone or bead;
• The prepared strip is placed under the rubber band so that the metal clamp is on its center;
• Apply a drop of glue on it;
• Add a strip;
• Straighten and cut the ends, leaving a 1.5 cm long cut from each side;
• Glued to a cardboard mug;
• Firmly pressed.

Bezel with flowers and weaving: what will be needed

In addition to the rubber band for Kanzash hair, you can make other hair ornaments in this technique. For example, a great idea is to make a bezel with flowers with original weaving.

To do this, you need:

• scissors;
• Ruler;
• tweezers;
• lighter;
• file;
• Glue (for example, "Moment-gel");
• pencil;
• Satin ribbon 400 mm long and 50 mm wide;
• Plastic hairband with a width of 1-1.5 cm;
• Thread and needle;
• Two satin ribbons of different colors about 150 cm long and 6 mm wide;
• Beads, beads, buttons or other decorations for the middle of the flower.

Ribbon Braiding

Before making such a hair ornament, you need to burn the edges of thin satin ribbons. Then:

• On their underside they drip by drop of glue;
• Put in a loop;
• Stretch the dark green ribbon (N1) through the eyelet at the end of the light green (N2);
• Throw the end of N2 through the index finger on the left hand;
• Stretch it into the loop of the first tape;
• Continue to weave, until you get a pigtail, equal to the length of the rim.
• Tape ends are not cut;
• With a file, remove the glossy layer from the surface of the rim so that the pigtail is more easily glued;
• Apply glue;
• Impose a pigtail;
• Press;
• Cut off the edges of the tapes;
• Burn;
• Glue inwards pigtails.

The decoration for the rim is created in exactly the same way as for hair clips and hair bands for Kanzash hair.

It can be in the form of a single flower or a bouquet with or without leaves. In this case, both round and sharp petals can be used, including double ones.

Another variant of the braiding of the rim is possible. This requires two very long thin satin ribbons of contrasting colors 2 and 1 cm wide. The first band tightly wraps the rim along the entire length and fixes the ends with glue. The second put on beads with a diameter of about 8 mm. Turn it around the bezel so that all the beads are on the outside. Fix the ends of the tape with glue. Decorate the product with a flower, glued together, as already described.
