The main purpose of the enterprise's existence is to obtain profit from the conduct of a certain type of activity. At the same time, the sale of goods has a significant impact on the level of profitability of products and indicators of financial stability.

There are four main factors on which the sale of goods is planned, they are referred to in marketing as the "four pi" concept:

  1. The product is a product that can satisfy the needs of the buyer at a high level, which is why it is relevant in the market.
  2. Price - a factor that should ensure the competitiveness of the enterprise and at the same time justify the costs of manufacturing products. The realization of a customs commodity largely depends on the price policy because of the peculiarities of legislation and taxation. Therefore, each transnational company makes a unique strategy of penetration into each country, taking into account all social and economic characteristics.
  3. Promotion - all kinds of actions, advertising and PR campaigns, stimulation of everyday life, etc. At any stage of the product life cycle, the sale of goods must be accompanied by marketing activities to maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise and increase the occupied part of the market.
  4. Place - a factor that determines the relationship between the seller and the buyer, it also includes distribution channels, which depend on the type of trade in the enterprise. Accounting for the sale of goods in wholesale trade is based on an analysis of the effectiveness of concluded contracts, as well as the efficiency of placement of warehouses, where products are stored. In the case of retail trade, the best location is considered the shopping areas of the city and places of congestion of a large number of people.

Sale of goods as a way to reduce the risks of doing business

In the conditions of free competition, the orientation of the firm on a wide field of product distribution raises the level of risk at which large losses can occur up to the state of bankruptcy. In this case, the affected enterprise is forced to leave the market. This can be both internal problems in the form of defective goods, and the influence of the unstable political situation in the country, which will negatively affect the desire of buyers to purchase goods. The solution to such problems can be an effective implementation program that will help overcome the current difficulties in modern conditions.
