Hunting with Elk on Elk and the Bear

Hunting for a bear is a fascinating, but also dangerous occupation. Only a brave man is able to fight the owner of the taiga. Most hunters believe that if a bear goes to a big company, then the danger is not threatened. Alas, this is not so. If the animal itself does not represent a serious threat, but the probability of getting a random bullet into people increases. For this reason, hunting for a bear with Laika will be best. Well-trained dogs, on bear work fiercely, with excitement, using painful grasps and bites for gaches. At the same time, they should be as skillful and swift as possible, barking visibly at the beast, should not let it move from its place, and when it flies, it should upset the bear with painful bites and grasps.

The main and main reason for the incredible popularity of dogs of this breed is their high performance, allowing the hunter to increase the number of options for potential trophies. It is common to hunt with a husky on a smaller game: sable, badger, marten.

Working on these animals, the dog shows a qualitative, high-speed search, stopping for prichyvaniya, to test it slightly barking or striking with paws in the trunk of the tree, causing the animal to get frightened and to detect its presence by at least a small movement that the dog will catch with its sharp hearing or vision. She will bring the shot animal into the hands of the owner.

Hunting for an elk with a husky has its own characteristics. Experienced hunters know that in order to track down this large animal, the dog must be taught and trained.

Hunting for elk

Los is the largest representative of the deer family. It is characterized by red color in summer and a dark gray shade in winter. Horns are found only in males and appear already, so to speak, in adulthood, years in 5 - 6. They have a shovel-like appearance with a lot of processes. The elks tend to drop their horns, and it happens in the beginning of winter. These animals live about 20 years. Sexual maturity is reached in two years. The period of their mating is September. The males at this time begin the real chivalric duels for the heart of the lady. This period they call a dwarf. Pregnancy in females lasts about eight months, and they often lead to two moose. And already in 3 - 5 months they start to eat independently.

These animals feed on woody vegetation, basically, it is the bark of soft deciduous trees, the aspen bark is in great demand . In the summer, moose move to herbaceous plants and make transitions in search of food. And in winter, these animals are united in herds of 20 individuals, choose their place of wintering and remain there for the whole season.

Since in the winter moose transitions are not performed, then no traces are left in the snow. But they are very afraid of shots, and a frightened moose can run away, even without paying attention to deep snowdrifts. At the same time, they leave not only traces, but entire trenches.

The elks have excellent hearing. They are able not only to hear the sound of movement for another kilometer, but they can even unmistakably determine who it is, a person or an animal.

Hunting with husky greatly facilitates the catching of this wild beast. At a quick canter the dog silently runs to the elk and, blocking the road from the front, not allowing it to move - bows. At the same time the voice of the husky is different from the situations with small game.

In hunting for moose, the ninth-carved rifle carbines are most often used. But, if you shoot from a short distance (no more than 50 meters), then in this case, hunters choose a smooth-bore weapon with factory bullets. It is also very important to know the most lethal places of the animal. The elk refers to them: the neck, the head and the front part of the trunk.

But do not forget that the elk is very strong on the wound. Sometimes it even happens that the hunter, finding the animal dead, comes up to him, but instead of the long-awaited trophy gets a powerful kick. And you should know one thing: if the elk's ears are pressed, then it is better not to approach it. This means that he is either scared or angry. And the beast, who is in a rage, is always dangerous.

Given the fact that for a long time hunting with a husky on this type of animal was banned, moose do not particularly fear the person. Therefore, it is not very difficult to approach them. However, recently, with the onset of intense shooting of moose, their habits have changed radically. And now the dogs come to the aid of the hunter. Hunting with a husky can be very effective.
