Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation (RGNF): description, history, chairman and activities

The Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation (RHF) was established as part of the state program for the protection of humanitarian disciplines. The purpose of the organization is to develop, multiply knowledge, scientific developments and discoveries. The main task of the foundation is the revival of traditions and their dissemination among the society. The work of the organization should induce people's interest in the humanities.

History of creation

The Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation celebrates its birthday every eight September. In 1994, it was founded in accordance with the resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation.

For twenty-two years, the institution was engaged in the search for funds and the promotion of projects in the field of humanitarian disciplines. In the nineties, socio-economic and political problems were sharper, so interest in these sciences was slightly lost.

However, the fund continued to develop. Specialists worked hard on their work, because they understood that the practical value of their research will be evaluated a little later. Indeed, now, thanks to the development of innovative technologies, science has begun to play a key role in the lives of modern people (especially young people).

However, on February 29, 2016, the organization became part of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. It was not liquidated and the institution continues its activities, but already as a division of the RFFI. This fund is engaged in similar work, only in a wider range of areas.

Research areas

The Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation organizes various types of competitive programs, in which it raises funds for the implementation of projects. Prizes are provided by government funding and investments from outside. The organization supports research and development in the humanitarian field. For better regulation of work, it is divided into six blocks. They include such disciplines as:

• philosophy;
• Political science and jurisprudence;
• History, ethnography and archeology;
• Philology and art criticism;
• Human problems (psychology, pedagogy).

The works are checked and analyzed by a special expert commission. The processing system consists of several stages. The commission includes six expert councils, each of which is responsible for their area of expertise:

• The first explores philosophy, sociology, law;
• The second deals with human problems;
• The third is responsible for historical topics;
• The fourth is studying the economy;
• The fifth is responsible for philology and art criticism;
• The sixth works in the field of information technology and telecommunications.

Research Projects

The Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation organizes and finances various types of competitive activities. And the main of such activities is research projects.

The research project involves the collection and further analysis of data. This is a solution to a creative problem with a previously unknown result. To implement the project, it is necessary to carry out several stages: the definition of the problem, the study of theoretical information, the selection of methods and methods of research and their further practical application, the derivation of the results on the basis of their own material, scientific commentary and generalization.

The Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation is carrying out research projects in almost all areas represented.

Publishing projects

The Russian State Humanitarian Scientific Foundation is also involved in publishing the results of scientific research. The organization spends financing of publishing projects practically on all branches of knowledge. The exception is the fifth direction, which is engaged in research in the field of philology and art history.

The institution provides assistance in organizing field work, sending scientific expeditions to the research sites. RGNF can contribute to the promotion of scientific and restoration work.

The management body

The supreme body of the institution, which exercises directly directing function, is the council. Its hierarchical structure is represented by the chairman and his deputy, who are subordinate to twenty-four members of the council. All of them are authoritative scientists, researchers, chairmen of various ministries and departmental organizations, have the status of members of the Academy of Sciences. They are also representatives of the most developed scientific centers and the largest higher educational institutions.

Publishing is also quite powerful. Theses and notes are published in the personal bulletin of the organization "Bulletin of the Russian Humanitarian Scientific Foundation", and also in the journal "Naukovedenie".

In addition to periodicals, the organization promotes the production of books of national importance. They are written in accordance with the modern concept and should form a fresh view of society on science, history, economics and other socially important spheres.
