Reviews about Mercedes E Class as a reliable car

For many car enthusiasts, Mercedes first of all causes associations with their well-developed E class cars. This attitude is not at all surprising. For a long time now, such qualities of this brand as reliability, level of safety and comfortability have become a household name. Reviews of the Mercedes E class indicate that all of the above qualities of these cars are seriously improved in the new model range. Today, there is a gradual shift of the E class sedan from the image of luxury signs to the symbol that personifies a successful business man. Its positioning in this segment of cars is also changing.

Mercedes Benz E class started its updated history from 1995, when the new W210 body was launched. On cars of this class, for the first time, the steering rack and pinion, parktronic and rain sensor systems were used. But the most famous was his recognizable four-dimensional front design. This "big-eyed Mercedes" could not only create its corporate identity for all models for the next ten years, but even somehow compete with the S class. Reviews of the Mercedes E class indicate that the W210 model has become almost the only novelty of the end of the last century, which had no comments on its reliability and quality.

The car had three types of performance: standard Classic, sporty Avantegarde and luxury Elegance. The car was completely renovated in 1999, it received new bumpers and tail lights, as well as an upgraded package of devices, including a GPS navigator. An important change occurred in 2000, when the engine on the E200 model was modified and installed on it by the supercharger, it was called the E200 Kompressor. In those days, reviews of the Mercedes E class showed that such an engine made almost a technical revolution in the line of engines of this model. The W210 sedan was discontinued in 2002.

The third generation of cars of this class began its history at the Brussels Motor Show in January 2002, at which its premiere took place, production began in March of the same year. Designers increased the outer dimensions of the car, thanks to an interesting interior solution, its volume grew even more, while the influence of the S class was clearly visible. A very important innovation of the car was a large package of computer systems and electronics, including a new instrument panel, passive and active safety systems.

The lineup remained in three types of performance: Classic, Avantegarde and Elegance. Reviews of the Mercedes E class showed that the most popular at that time were diesel models from E200 CDI to E400 CDI. Among the models with gasoline engines , the E200 Kompressor, E320, and the flagship E500 have gained popularity. The most "packaged" versions were also offered in the 4-wheel drive version of 4Matic. By the end of 2002, a sports version of the E55 AMG with a V8 injection engine appeared. Already at the Motor Show in January 2003, the S211 was introduced, which is still the largest wagon of this class, with a huge internal volume.

In 2006, the car underwent restaling, during which it received a new shape of the radiator grille, mirrors, bumpers and rear signals, inside they installed a new electronics package. Then the main attention of the manufacturer was attracted by a decrease in fuel consumption and exhaust of polluting gases. As a result, in 2007 there were just two models: the hybrid E300 CDI Bluetec and the petrol E350 CGI. Mercedes E class of 2011 is released after the update in 2009, during which the car received the latest safety systems and for most models in standard options, air suspension, seven-speed automatic transmission and much more began to be installed. Thus, this has already become the fourth generation of the E-Mercedes with the W212 body marking.
