Remember the classics. VM Shukshin: "Chudik", a brief summary
Creativity of VM Shukshin is a vivid indicator of the fact that in the Soviet era there were writers who were not afraid to tell the truth about the life of the people, highlight problems that are urgent for him, talk about such vital, painful issues as conscience, morality, spirituality . Mostly speaking about the destinies of the inhabitants of Russian villages, he chose such characters as heroes of the works, which, on the one hand, were typical for their social group, and on the other, stood out from her with spiritual beauty, a certain zest, a special glance at the world, People, life itself. Critics do not knowingly call them "fools."
What does "freak" mean?
The word itself appeared in the title of one of the stories, which Shukshin wrote: "Chudik." The brief content of the work will help to understand what the essence of the "eccentricity" of the character is, and what meaning is put into it (in a word). The real name and surname of the hero we find out at the very end: Knyazev Vasily Egorich, projectionist, lover of dogs and detectives, in his childhood dreamed of being a spy. He is 39 years old, but according to his actions a freak sometimes seems to be a true child - naive, conscientious, direct. Often he behaves, as it seems, contrary to common sense. Shukshin draws attention to this repeatedly. "Chudik", the summary of which can be reduced to several sentences, is interesting and interesting, which makes it possible to represent the entire life of the hero in several fragments. And although we already have a mature personality, we understand that Knyazev was five years ago, and ten. It's not for nothing that he is a "freak" in different situations: his wife calls him and affectionately, and when he is angry. Nicknamed by the nickname and neighbors, friends, friends. It seems that they do not take it seriously. And how can you seriously take a person who in the store saw a lot of money for those times (50 rubles), but did not take himself, but turned to people: "Who lost?" And when I found out that he himself dropped the note, he was ashamed to return , Pick up.
The summary makes us recall the scenes of "collision" of the character with his daughter-in-law, his brother's wife. That is clearly not a pleasure come to visit a relative. And the fact that he sings songs till night, having drunk with the bratnik "for a meeting", and what is not "responsible", i.e. Not for reasons and positions, but simple, ordinary. And the fact that I am sincerely glad to meet with Dmitry, in general that sincere, open, sincere, not prudent, like she and those whom Sofya Ivanovna respects immensely. In a frank conversation with his brother, Dmitry complains and is puzzled: "Why are people angry?" Why does the wife just "bark", the barmaids and saleswomen respond to buyers rudely and strive to cheat? Why do people not smile, do not say good words to each other, but are concerned only with what, where and with whom "to snatch"? Why does not anyone care about the beauty of God's world, to quiet human pleasures?
Shukshin himself sets these questions. Chudik (the summary of the work allows you to trace the opposition's intended confrontation) tries to console his brother and correct his position in his own way. He paints beautifully, and therefore, when my daughter-in-law and brother left for work, I decided to surprise them and painted, "like a toy," a baby carriage. All the day long the hero anticipates the surprise and admiration of Sofya Ivanovna. Yes, only did not take her directly into account hatred, outright contempt for the village and mockery of it. In this regard, Shukshin's story is very truthful and realistic. The summary ("Chudik" is laconic in accordance with the genre features of the work) makes it possible to reveal the dislike of the philistinism (ie, the uneducated, undeveloped part of the urban population), their arrogant attitude toward ordinary people. Sophia herself is from the village. It's about people like her that have put down a saying: "I left the village, I did not reach the city". And so, seeing the painted carriage, she drove her son-in-law out with a terrible scandal.
So that we, albeit quite a bit, but also become freaks.
