Refreshing cocktail: tasty, nice and useful

In a hot, hot summer, one of the perfect ways to cool off and relax is a refreshing cocktail. This is the method chosen by many people in conjunction with other methods of summer recreation.

Summer cocktails can be dairy, fruit or vegetable. There are recipes based on such drinks as tea, mineral water or kvass. Of course, there are also many cocktails with the addition of alcohol. But here everyone chooses those tastes that will be to their liking. Consider the most unusual and interesting taste combinations.

Peach-and-ginger soda

To prepare 8 servings of this drink you will need: 2 ripe peaches, 2 tablespoons chopped ginger, 1 glass of sugar, 16 leaves of fresh mint and 2 liters of mineral water.

Cooking method. In a medium-sized saucepan, add a glass of water, ginger and sugar and heat to a light boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. The resulting syrup is removed from the fire, covered with a lid and set aside for half an hour.

Next, take a medium-sized bowl and strain the syrup through a sieve using a tablespoon to squeeze out the ginger juice. Cover the bowl with food film and put it in the refrigerator. If the syrup remains, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Slices of peaches are laid out in glasses, add about 2 tablespoons of syrup to each, add ice cubes and fill with mineral water. Decorate cocktails with 2 mint leaves and enjoy the taste.

Cranberry-basil sprat

Another quite unusual, but very tasty refreshing cocktail (nonalcoholic). For this recipe we need: 1 cup of ordinary water, 1 glass of sugar, 1 glass of basil leaves, 2 cups of unsweetened cranberry juice, ¼ cup fresh lime juice, 1 liter of chilled mineral water, 4 slices of lime, 1 glass of fresh cranberries.

Cooking method. In a medium-sized saucepan, prepare the syrup: plain water + sugar, bring to a boil. Add half a glass of basil leaves and remove the pan from the fire, leave for 20 minutes.

Filter the syrup and let it cool for an hour. At this time in the pitcher (jug) we combine cranberry juice, lime juice and add syrup. Then add the mineral water, slices of lime and the remaining basil (half cup) to the mixture obtained.

When serving on the bottom of the glass we put ice cubes, pour a spritz, add a little more sparkling water for freshness and decorate with basil leaves. Berry refreshing cocktails look very harmonious on the table, because they have a beautiful color.

Pineapple cooler with tequila

And this refreshing alcoholic cocktail even carries the name "cooler", which means "freshener" in English. The recipe was invented by the director for drinks and co-owner of the restaurant dell'Anima in New York.

Ingredients: ¾ cup of water, ¾ cup sugar, 1 small pineapple, ¼ jalapeno pod, ¾ cup of golden tequila, ¾ cups of silver tequila, juice of two limes (about ¼ cup), 8 glasses of crushed ice, and 1 peel of lime.

Preparation. In a small saucepan on a moderate fire, prepare the syrup from water and sugar, bring to a boil and wait for the sugar to dissolve. We put it aside.

In a large pitcher we interrupt the pineapple with jalapenos in puree with a blender, add tequila, our chilled syrup and lime juice.

In a glass filled with ice, we add our refreshing cocktail. We decorate with a spiral from the lime peel and serve it on the table.

Strawberry kvass

Summer refreshing cocktails can be prepared and on kvass, or rather, consider the option of making strawberry kvass.

For this we take: 1 kg of strawberries, 5 liters of water, 100 grams of sugar, 25 grams of yeast, 25 grams of honey, 2 tablespoons of raisins, and citric acid at the tip of the knife.

We sort out and rinse the berries. Squeeze the juice, cake is not thrown away, but put into a pan and poured with water. This mixture is brought to a boil, remove from heat and leave for 10 minutes. Filter.

Stir in the juice of strawberries yeast, sugar, honey and citric acid, mix and add to our water base. Then leave somewhere in a warm place for a couple of days.

When kvass is ready, we pour it into bottles, add several raisins to each. Keep this drink tightly closed in a cool place.

Refreshing cocktail Cucumber Agua Fresca

For this cocktail you will need the following ingredients: syrup (water + sugar), 5 medium sized cucumbers (pre-cleaned and large-sliced, we separately leave rings for decoration), 4 glasses of cold water, 1.5 cups of sliced ginger, 0.5 glasses of fresh juice Lime and ice.

Prepare the syrup, as described in the recipes above. And then we prepare the cocktail itself: we collect the ingredients (cucumbers, ginger and a little water) in the blender. Blender, until the cucumber is completely puree.

Next, strain the resulting mixture well and discard the remaining cake. Add 4 tablespoons syrup and lime juice. We serve cocktails with ice. You can also add mint leaves, they will also add freshness and decorate a refreshing cocktail.
