Red Sulin, Rostov Region

Each place on the map of our vast and fertile country of Russia has its own unique history. And some cities and towns are named after great people. One of these cities is Krasny Sulin, which is located in the Rostov region on the river. Gnilusha and Kundruchya. It is an administrative center with a population of 43,000 souls. And now a bit of interesting information about Krasnosnosulinsky region.

Biography of the regional center

The history of the city began in the 18th century, the day of the foundation of a small Sulin farm. What's left of the old settlement? An elevated plain with stone hills, dissected by beams and rivulets. The Sulinsky lands on their territory have numerous picturesque villages and regional cities (Zverevo and Gukovo). Today there are wide highways and railways of international importance, linking the Donetsk region with the central part of Russia, as well as Ukraine and the Caucasus.

But it was not always so. Earlier the territory had four different volosts, each of which had small settlements. Life in them was measured and boring, until the Voronezh-Rostov-on-Don railway station was formed. Quiet and peaceful rural way of life has changed dramatically. In the peasant village the construction of a metallurgical plant began on the initiative of the industrialist DA Pastukhov.

As mushrooms after the rain, shops and enterprises were built (mechanical, forging, boiler, crutch, rolling, model). The economic situation in the region has skyrocketed. Blast furnace smelting brought a huge income. Annually, the plant produced about four million tons of different metals, smelted more than three million tons of cast iron.

Pavlov's only growing factory provided jobs for more than five thousand peasants. Simultaneously with the increase in production, the agricultural business expanded. Red Sulin was actively growing. In the province there were schools, gymnasiums, sports and cultural centers, as well as trade shops, a library, and kindergartens. It would seem that it can break the idyll and kill the hope for the best? But the First World War brought with it tremendous upheavals and death.

The city of Krasny Sulin (Rostov region) did not fall under the onslaught of the fascists

After the official status was given to the edge in 1926, his revival began after chaos. Originally, the metallurgical plant was reconstructed, parks were gradually settled, parks and recreation areas were built. But the happiness did not last long - the Great Patriotic War came.

Again, the city of Krasny Sulin underwent ruin. On the defense of their homeland stood local residents who took combat weapons and desperately battled for the honor of the region. The plant worked in an enhanced mode, anti-tank hedgehogs were manufactured on it . A little less than a year the administrative center was in the German occupation. In February 1943, the city was liberated by the army under the command of Vatutin NF.

Achievements and attractions

Neither war nor revolution could break the Russian spirit. Even after considerable losses, Krasin Sulin "rose" from the ashes, straightened his "wings" and even more expanded. Hardships and destruction made it more beautiful, stronger and more civilized. Today it is a developed industrial center with 14 metallurgical, processing, coal and energy enterprises on its immense land. Gymnasiums, vocational schools, lyceums, universities and schools of Red Sulin occupy the first places in terms of education. The district has the best health care systems.

Glass factory

The region boasts the largest enterprise for the production of energy-efficient and float glass. Every day about 900 tons of this product are produced here. This year, the company's management will launch a second line, which will specialize in applying a multifunctional energy-saving and sun-protective coating to glass. By the right, Krasny Sulin can be proud of its offspring. The plant is currently the largest in the world. With it, solid companies and firms that value value for money are cooperating.

Pokrovsky Temple

An ancient church built in 1874 is the most important object of the city. It's always crowded here. When you are inside the temple, the spirit captures from its beauty and decoration. This is the only church that has survived since that time. In 1942, it was severely damaged. Even after a global reconstruction on the walls, traces of machine-gun fire through the thick layer of plaster are visible. The temple is really unique and conveys the atmosphere of the Russian spirit. Today the territory of the church is ennobled, at the moment the Sunday school is built.

Repeater

The highest construction of the city (80 m). It was founded in 1981 on "Pseudo Mountain", with which a breathtaking panorama of the local surroundings opens. The tower is the visiting card of the district and one of the main attractions. Visitors coming to the region first of all look at the repeater, climb to the site and admire the lights of nearby cities: Zverevo, Novoshakhtinsk and Gukovo.

Natural site and recreation park - Lake Canyon

A unique, naturally created reservoir (in 1970) with rocky shores, located almost in the center of the city. The water in it is so clean and transparent that the contours of the stones, located at 10 m depth, are visible. This is not an easy natural property of the Krasnosulinsky district, but it is also a favorite vacation spot for the local population. In the summer people gather near the canyon to swim, sunbathe and dive. There is very little mud and water.

Many mysterious and outstanding objects are in this region and to see them personally enough, visit the historic city of Red Sulin. To get here is very simple: by plane, train or bus to Rostov, and then change to a minibus or taxi. You can stay in comfortable hotels "Sulin" or "Caspian". Pleasant travel and new emotions!
