The first in the list of materials of this type is the smallest tube, the external dimensions of which are 15 by 10 millimeters. The thickness of the walls varies from 1 to 2 mm. The largest representative of profile rectangular pipes is the product 180 by 150 mm (with a wall thickness of 8 to 14 mm).

Also, materials are produced with special dimensions, which at a wall thickness of 8 mm reach "dimensions" of 230 per 100 mm. The cost of products directly depends on their size. A wide range of products allows you to easily find the right material. The price of the product also depends on the brand of metal from which it is made.

State standards provide for 2 classes of accuracy (normal and high), which can have a rectangular pipe.

Products are made of carbon steel of normal quality, while their mechanical properties (group A) are normalized. In addition, the material is made of quality steel (Group B). In the second case, the mechanical characteristics and chemical composition of steel are normalized.

Standards also require quality of the surface, which must have a rectangular pipe. These criteria are very stringent, so the material is durable and high-quality.

A small weight, ease of use and high strength properties determine the main areas of application of products. First of all, these materials are used to fabricate the various complexity of metal structures. They are most often used in engineering, construction, and also in everyday life. A rectangular pipe allows producing inexpensive metal structures.

Products in mechanical engineering are used for the production of welded bodies of machines and mechanisms (cars, tractors, cars, locomotives). Of the same materials, frame structures, fences, pillars, supports are used. In the construction of the pipe, frames of objects are made, as well as bearing welded structures.
